The next morning I was still looking over all the documents, when Ace finally woke up. He looked at me, still drowsy. "Did I fall asleep? Hmmm? It's already morning? Don't tell me you were up all night!"

I giggled and ruffled his already messy hair. "Good morning Ace! And actually... I was."

Ace was astonished by my response. "You're kidding, right?!"

At that moment, someone crashed right through the door to the study, literally. The door was lying on the floor in pieces. Finnian, the one who did it started apologizing frantically immediately. "I... I'm so so so sorry!! Sebastian is going to be so mad! He keeps te-"

I cut him off. "Finnian, calm down! It's all right."

"B... B... But."

I smiled at the frightened boy. "Don't worry! We have more than enough time to fix the door before Sebastian finds out."

Finnian had finally calmed down a bit. "Why's that?"

"I sent him on a... Mission."

Finnian then started laughing out of happiness and hugged me. "That's amazing news! Oh! That reminds me... The news!!" then the gardener gave me a newspaper. "You're all over it!"

I took the newspaper from Finnian as quickly as I could, and Ace immediately jumped over the desk to get to me as fast as he could to also take a look at the newspaper that was now in my hands.

On the first page it read: 'The return of Phantomhive!'

On the second: 'Celestial dragon kills another Celestial dragon!'

On the third: 'Celestial dragon saves three ordinary citizens!'

On the fourth: 'Fire Fist Ace engaged to a Celestial dragon?!'

On the fifth: 'The ultimate alliance: The Emperor Whitebeard and The Guardian of The Underworld!'

Both me and Ace were stunned. "Wh... What?"

After a few moments of total shock and silence, when we both realized what was actually written in the newspaper, the both of us turned bright red. I turned to Ace and started apologizing, while trying to hide my still red face. "I... I... I'm s... So so... Sorry Ace! I -"

Before I could continue Ace took the newspaper from me, hugged me and smirked. "Stop! Now what was it that you said to me last night? Don't apologize unless you truly regret it."

I could barely move. I was so confused by what he said. "Wh... What?"

He kissed my forehead. "Well... You did say that you'd marry someone like me over that bastard anytime."

At this point there was no way that my face could've gotten any more red. "B... But I didn't say that w... We w... Were engaged!"

Ace chuckled at my reaction. "Maybe not, but that's just what journalists do."

I buried my face into his chest as much as I could out of embarrassment. "Urghhh!"

"You know... For some reason, I don't mind having people think I'm engaged to you."

I looked straight into Ace's eyes. "R... Really?"

He nodded.

Before either of us had a chance to say anything else, the gardener whose presence both of us had apparently forgotten spoke up. "Ummm... I... Think I'm gonna start cleaning up the mess I caused earlier." And then he left.

Ace then looked at the fifth page of the newspaper. "I hope this news won't end up bringing trouble for pops though..."

I looked at the same news article Ace was looking at. More specifically the picture of an old man next to it. "So that guy is your captain?"
