After everyone finished eating. Both Sophia and her parents left to take a walk in the garden, and Sebastian turned to me. "The Schedule for the evening is clear. Is there anything you'd prefer to do before bed?"

I thought for a second and replied. "Actually there is one thing. The World Government was formed about 800 years ago, right?"

Sebastian smiled. "You are correct milady."

"In that case I'd presume that you were there, when it happened, weren't you?"

"Correct again milady."

That's when the young pirate still sitting at the table got confused and and joined in on our conversation. "Wait! That's impossible! No human can live for that long!"

Sebastian smiled at him. "You're correct indeed."

I continued what Sebastian started. "What he meant is that he isn't human. Sebastian is actually a demon."

Ace started laughing. "Nice joke!" Once he noticed that neither me nor Sebastian joined in on the laughter, he stopped as well. "You... Were joking... Right?"

Sebastian answered. "My mistress doesn't lie to the people she trusts." Then he turned to me. "How about we continue this conversation in the study. After all I do believe you're probably interested in seeing all the paperwork considering the Government as well."

I nodded. "You're right. Let's go." Before leaving the room I softly smiled at the distressed Ace. "I'll see tou later, okay?"

Sebastian left me alone to look over all the papers after he had told me everything I wanted to know. Sometime after that someone else entered the study.

When I looked to see who it was, I saw the same man we had left in the dining room. I smiled. "Ace! What can I do for you?"

He hesitated for a moment. "Is... Is he actually a..."

I finished his question for him. "A demon?"

He nodded.

"Yes, he is."

He was still confused and he walked towards me. "If that's true then does that mean that hell is real too? And in that case what about heaven and angels? And why would a demon become a servant? And what does it mean for you?"

I giggled. "Calm down Ace! But I guess I do owe you some explanations... First of all, yes, both heaven and hell exist, and as you might already expect from that, angels as well. And as for Sebastian... A long time ago one of my ancestors, Ciel Phantomhive, made a contract with him."

Ace was leaning on the desk at this point. "Why would he do that? After all everything that is known of demons is bad, right?"

"He... Let's just say that something horrible happened in his life. Because of that something he made getting revenge on the people responsible for it his life's goal, but to that he needed help. That's when Sebastian came along. Sebastian was to become Ciel's butler and help him carry out his revenge and in return Ciel's soul was Sebastians to eat."

Ace looked both shocked and angry at what I said. " I promise I won't let Sebastian or any other demon eat your soul!"

I then put my hand on his that was in a fist from anger to try to calm him down a bit. "Thank you, but you really don't need to worry about that, since Sebastian already got his payment and he decided that he wanted to prolong the contract. Which is why he's still here. And he's not after my soul."

Ace finally calmed down. Actually he's demeanor changed completely. He took the hand I had put on his and held it in his. His face was a little red and he couldn't look me in the eyes. "Actually there was one other thing I wanted to talk about..."

I immediately understood and became flustered. "O... Oh..."

Ace continued. "I'm sorry about the kiss earlier... I kn-"

I didn't want to listen to any of that. And honestly I felt bad that he felt like he had to apologize. So I mustered up all the courage I could and kissed him, cutting off whatever he was trying to say.

Ace was completely shocked by it. He immediately questioned me, when I pulled away. "...Why?"

"Unless you truly regret what you did, then there's no reason to apologize for my sake... Because I kind of... Liked it."

Ace looked deeply into my eyes, trying to understand if I actually said what he thought he heard me say. He slowly started moving closer, and so did I. It was almost like we were drawn to each other by some unknown force. Then finally our lips touched for the third time that day. It was like time had stopped entirely and my heart was pounding so fast that it felt like it was going to explode at any moment.

Once we pulled away, we were still so close that our noses were touching, when Ace smirked. "I might just get used to this."

I giggled. "Oh yeah?"

Ace chuckled. "Yeah."

"Me too, but for now I really should get back to work."

Ace looked at me with a confused expression. "But I thought we finished everything earlier."

"Well we did, but... After everything that's happened I wanted to look into the World Government a bit."

"Why?"

I hesitated for a moment, but decided to give in. "Because I don't believe that how the Government is doing things is right."

Ace turned serious now. "(Y/n)... Please don't tell me your going to try doing something about it all on your own."

I smiled. "I may be looking into the history of the World Government on my own, but I already sent Sebastian to give a message to someone I know and... Depending on the answer I get back, I might not end up doing it alone after all."

Ace sighed. "Whatever you do decide to do, just promise me that you'll be careful! And know that I'll always be there to help you no matter what. I'll even talk to pops, if it's necessary."

"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. But unless you're interested in helping again, you are free to do whatever you want, you know that right?"

Ace chuckled and took a chair next to mine. "You don't have to tell me twice."

After a few hours of looking over all the documents, I started hearing some snoring next to me. I put down all the papers I had been at, and turned to handsome sleeping young man next to me. "It has gotten pretty late already."

I stood up from my seat and started looking around for something warm and soft like a blanket. When I found what I was looking for, I walked back to the desk and put the blanket on my sleeping friend. Then I ran my hand through his somewhat messy dark hair and kissed him on the forehead. "You've done so much for me today. Thank you!"

After making sure that Ace was as comfortable as he could be sleeping behind a desk, I got back to work.
