After the meal provided to us by Makino it was already dark outside and it was time to move on. We thought about going back to our ship for the night, but Ace said that there was still someone he wanted to check up on in the mountains. So we headed there instead, especially considering Ace said that we could stay there for the night. When we reached a building in the woods Ace smiled sadly with nostalgia filling his eyes. "It's been a long time since I last came here... Dadan was probably happy to have me gone, but here I am... Being a nuisance for her once more."

I put my hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "Stop being so negative all the time. And don't worry, no matter what happens we'll be here for you. I hope you know that!"

He chuckled lightly and hugged me to make sure that I was actually there beside him and not just his imagination playing tricks on him. He then took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Two men opened the door. A tiny guy with a strange cloth hat and a much bigger one with a red mohawk. They were speechless to say the least, so Ace hesitantly decided to start the conversation. "Dogra, Magra! Long time no see!" Tears welled up in the two men's eyes as they realized that the man they thought to be dead was standing in front of them and they both hugged Ace as tightly as they could. The bigger on cried out. "I'm so glad you're alive!" And the other added. "Don't ever worry us like that again!!"

Their adorable reunion was cut short by an angry voice coming from the inside of the house. "Dogra, Magra, what's taking you two so long?!"

The smaller one, whom I presumed was Dogra yelled back, with tears still flowing down his face. "You might wanna come check it out yourself, Dadan!" The woman was obviously annoyed by the answer she got. "You better hope it's g-" She stopped right as she saw Ace. Her eyes got watery right away. "A... Ace..? B... But that's not possible!"

Ace chuckled nervously. "It's me, no doubt about it, old hag." That reply earned him a good punch from the plump woman and also a tight embrace, which shocked Ace more than anyone. Then he patted her on the back and started laughing. "Hey, don't go soft on me now!" That earned him another good punch. "Oh shut it you brat!"

Then the woman finally noticed all the people who were with her beloved 'son'. Her eyes specifically stopped on me. "And who are these people? You truly do have a bad habit of bringing in strays, but a celestial dragon?" she pointed at me. "One of them killed Sabo, if you haven't forgotten already!"

Natsu butted in this time. "Dragons?! (y/n), you already told everyone about Igneel, didn't you?"

Ace sighed once more. "She's not like the others, I've seen her kindness in action first hand. Not only did she save an innocent family from the whim of another celestial dragon, but she also accepted me after learning about who my father was!"

Dadan was surprised to hear that. "Did she now? I thought that the newspaper had made a huge mistake, but I guess not. And... The other thing. Not many people would do that..."

I sternly looked straight at the woman named Dadan. "Maybe so, but... I'm going to change that some day. No, sorry! We are going to change that some day."

The woman started laughing at what I said. "Yeah, right! Like that's ever gonna happen!!"

Natsu backed me up. "It is! (y/n) never jokes about things like that and she definitely doesn't make promises she can't keep." Erza added. "Moreover we'll help her make it come true!"

Ace then remembered Natsu mentioning a certain guy. "Who's Igneel?" I immediately started nervously laughing, but before I could answer, Natsu did while putting his arm around my shoulders. "Igneel is our father!"

To say that Ace was shocked after hearing that, but that would be an understatement. "So... Then... You two are... Brother and sister..?"

Natsu happily agreed. "Sure are!"
