I was trying to wrap my head around the reason why Demetrius would leave. I thought he understood how it affected everyone greatly.

But as usual he didn't care.

Ricochet shouted at the open window for about ten minutes while Justin and I tried to restrain her from doing anything else. She seemed to be the angriest out of the three of us, maybe even betrayed.

Justin assured her that he needed his space and that he probably was under stress. As much as I wanted to believe that I couldn't, there seemed to be more to the story.

"Can you just stop talking for one moment," Ricochet fumed angrily.

Justin hung his head while carrying a bag full of human food. "Oh come on Ricochet you can't stay mad at someone like me."

"Are you sure about that ?"

I rolled my eyes at them. They decided to argue in the middle of public where we were supposed to keep a low profile. I was anticipating a group of Bio Bots to come around the corner any minute.

"Alright you two." Did I really have to do this ? "You should probably settle down before someone notices us." I could never imagine me being the mediator for those two, it wasn't something I enjoyed but it was better than arguing myself.

Justin flung the bag over his shoulder and slowed his pace to match mine. He nudged my shoulder and gave me a concerned look. "I know she is annoyed by me pretty much all the time but this time is different. It's like she's... moody, or maybe has a shorter temper."

I almost laughed in his face; there was no such thing as a short temper for the Lovelace siblings. "Seems normal to me Justin."

He shrugged and turned back to the front.

We rounded the corner to the front of the rundown house and stopped. Before entering the backyard we checked for anyone nearby then disappeared. I sighed, I could finally get some sleep. As Ricochet neared the garage door she froze.

"What's wrong-"

She placed a finger over her lips and pointed to the door which was left slightly ajar; I remember Justin closing it completely before we left which meant someone had been there.

Justin and I hurried to her side muffling our breathing. Whoever had been here earlier could possibly still be there. I hoped for a human, that would make it a lot easier on us all.

I sidestepped in front of the door and watched as Ricochet slid her hand inside the space and flung the door wide open. She leaped inside and I could hear her wrestling with the intruder. I immediately darted after her.

"Who are you !" She demanded from the hooded figure in her grasp.

He sounded like he was trying to speak but Ricochet had a firm grip around his throat. As he slid his hand up to claw at her fingers I saw the metal cylinders that served as fingers.

"Ricochet let him go, it's your brother," I said.

"I don't believe you."

Justin dropped his bag and went to pull her off manually since she didn't seem to believe what I had said. He picked her up off the floor and restrained her. Demetrius grunted as he slowly grounded himself once again.

I was surprised. Surprised that he was actually here in the garage. This was the first time he's willingly come back from one of his disappearances. Why ?

"Are you trying to kill me sister ?" He grounded out through clenched teeth.

Ricochet stared wide eyed at him finally realizing that he was in fact there. Then she lunged at him again only to be grabbed by Justin.
