Little details

Every single day I'd wake up and do another worthless job for Mr Graves, but while I did Demetrius was by my side. He was always so quiet and awkward around me, it was like he was mad at the world- which he always was but this was slightly different. He focused on his work and when I tried to speak to him he'd simply leave.

There was greater distance between us now and it was uncomfortable now. There weren't any insults flying between the both of us. Mr Graves changed my entire world with just a few choice words, but it affected Demetrius more than any of us. Maybe he was ashamed which is why he couldn't face me.

I didn't know how to describe our relationship anymore. It wasn't a 'hate' relationship the way Demetrius placed it months ago. I was even more confused now about him now than when I first met him, his moods were hard to decipher; I would always be able to tell when something bothered him or when he was angry, annoyed, or frustrated but now it was...nothing.

"So what are we going to do ?" Justin asked.

I thought about it long and hard and I realized that I had no idea despite me being the 'one in charge'. "Is it bad that I don't know ?"

Ricochet sucked her teeth and tapped her foot against the kitchen floor. "Well Demetrius I'm not exactly sure what you were thinking with this one."

Demetrius folded his arms across his chest. "This is your last resort, I am no longer staying with you all so unless you had someone else in mind you will have to deal with him."

"Well hopefully you are going to be around once we figure out what to do," Justin said.

I sighed, as soon as we could figure something out. It was extremely hard with Mr Graves and his minions watching our every move, he noticed that we were very sneaky and he couldn't take another chance with us. I wanted to be free, I wasn't a wild animal that could be kept in a cage, I was a boy and I mattered.

"It would make sense to take out the Bio Bots first right ? Without them it will be easier to get to his guards and then finally him," I announced quietly.

Justin nodded. "That seems like the most logical way to go, good job Alexander." He shot me a sincere smile and I felt a lot better about myself.

I just so happened to look at Demetrius for a moment and he just stared blankly, my cheeks began to heat up.

Why do I have to act so stupid ?

You're in love.....

That's what it is. I can't believe that.

Justin stopped his movements and grimaced. "Mr Graves is coming, he brought a few friends along with him."

I whipped around grabbing the rag I held moments before and wiped the counters, Justin grabbed the broom off the floor, and Ricochet returned to her paint brush. Everyone acted as if our conversation never took place. Mr Graves entered the kitchen with Carmen and two of his guards. I was glad that Justin could see things ahead of time, it came in handy, if it came at all.

"Well well this place is looking much better," Mr Graves bellowed.

I could feel a low growl emanating from my chest, I felt a harsh kick in my leg. It was probably Justin signaling me to be quieter. "Oh yeah it's real nice." I scrubbed the counters even though they were spotless, anything that would keep me from snapping his neck clean in half.

"There is my beau garcon," Carmen cooed. She wrap a free arm around me and kissed my cheek.

I didn't know what a 'beau garcon' was but I wasn't too interested. I wanted her to remove her tiny claws off me. I glanced up at Demetrius who raised an eyebrow in my direction. He must have been aware of how agitated I had become.
