Dagon lands softly as he drops me, and I land with my knees bent in the middle of the Slytherins. I take a shallow breath in, and then look around, just seeing flat land that stretches for awhile, and a nice bright white beach in the shape of a C. Sea stretches for miles, and in the distance, I see Fingal's Cave.
"Where are we?" I question quietly and Dagon replies, "We're still in Scotland, but we're around a place called Coileagan an Udal."
"It's nice." I say softly before Dagon says, "Everyone, we're going to have to do this brutally and quickly. Normally we hunt in the woods, but today we're upping our challenge by doing it in the wide open. No survivors."
Everyone nods their heads, right before Dagon turns to me and says, "Turn us all to humans, except let us keep our talons."
"It might take a bit, but yes, Dagon." I say before Dagon waves everyone closer, and I'm suddenly within three feet of eight Slytherins who all want to kill me. I swallow hard and then say, "I wish for the eight Slytherins around me to turn to full humans, but let them keep their talons."
The first one to groan is Koray, who's bones are cracking the loudest. Jandro manages to put an arm around her through the pain, and I just watch as everyone around me turns into humans. I keep my eyes at their head levels as I know they're naked, and Dixon swears before saying, "Not we're all butt-naked. Any plans now, Dagon?"
"I didn't say we didn't have a distraction." Dagon tilts his head sideways, "We'll say we're a group of blind people, and Amethyst, you lead us to the biggest group of people."
"Alright." I nod as Dagon grabs Dixon's shoulder, and Dixon grabs Jario's, and it continues down the line until everyone is touching. I start walking as Dagon hisses in my ear, "Turn your fingernails into talons."
"Why?" I question as I keep walking, not seeing anyone in sight yet.
"Because I'm forcing you to kill someone too." Dagon replies as I feel my throat tighten beneath the chain, and I ask timidly, "What if I don't?"
"I will kill Jerod, no questions asked." Dagon growls in my ear before I snarl, "I wish to turn my fingernails into talons, like a part of a Slytherin."
The pain is little; my fingernails darken until they're black, and then grow into long curves, shining talons in the morning.
"Good girl, Amethyst." Dagon purrs in my ear as my face blushes uncontrollably, and I think in my mind, who wouldn't blush? I'm being cajoled into killing someone by a sexy man.
I feel my eyes open wide as I ask myself, did I really just think that? Yeah, I did.
I shake my head to rid myself of the thoughts, and I see a crowd of people, all standing by a group of confused puffins.
"Bingo." I say as I turn slightly to look Dagon in the eyes, "Right there."
I point to at least six people who have their backs to us, all cooing over the birds.
"Good job, Amethyst." Dagon slaps me on the back, and this time, I flinch slightly. How is he so powerful even when he's a human?
"Everyone, pretend you're incapable of sight, in three, two, one." Dagon says as I move up to the people, and at first, no one notices. But when I clear my throat and say, "Excuse me," everyone's heads turn. There are three guys and three girls, all around their mid-thirties. Their mouths drop open at the sight, and I say, "I'm sorry for interrupting you, but I was wondering if you could point me the way back to the roads?"
As I speak, the Slytherins fan out, surrounding the oblivious humans. Jandro stands beside Koray, focusing on one person, which means there is one open human, and I know Dagon wants me to kill the girl, who looks like the youngest of the bunch.
