I sit beside Dargon on the beach, his arm around my waist and my head on his shoulder. We sit on the soft grey sand as we watch the Slytherins tackle each other, laughing and chuckling. I sigh happily as I move my head, adjusting my position against Dargon. He tightens his grip on me as our wings brush together, and he mumbles softly, "This is where I could stay forever."

"Agreed." I nod my head as I see Julissa and Dixon run after each other, their bare feet kicking up sand. The sand sprays Jandro and Koray who turn to glare at the Ague's, and take chase. Jandro takes a flying leap and smashes into Dixon, who falls flat in the sand, pouring the gritty grains into his mouth. Dargon and I guffaw as Dixon spits the sand out and rubs his tongue desperately with his talons, trying to get the tiny rocks out of his system.

The setting sun makes his silhouette a light grey, and I gaze in appreciation of the company and nature. The sun's rays cast over the dark sea that washes up lazily on the land, a peaceful sound that matches the rate of my heart. I put a hand out to the sky in the shape of a half heart, and Dargon catches on, putting his talons against mine.

"I love you, Amethystine." Dargon mumbles in my ear as our hands come down in a tight grasp, in the middle of us. I smile up at him as he tilts his head down, his lips against my forehead.

"I love you, Dargon." I grin as he presses his lips against mine, a soft kiss that makes my toes curl in the sand. He chuckles while his lips are still touching mine, and I start to laugh which separates our mouths. He puts his cheek against mine as if he's going to whisper in my ear, but we just stay there. After a bit, he pulls away and hauls me onto his lap, locking his arms around my abdomen that is healing. I rest my head against his left shoulder as my wings move into a more comfortable spot as he asks, "How are you feeling?"

"My cuts still hurt, but my company is helping." I smile as I look at our legs, mine in between Dargon's. I hear him laugh and then add, "Watching your family, spending time with you. . . I love this, I love you. Sure, I miss Jerod and Carlley, but this is where I belong."

"I'm glad you think so." Dargon runs his hand up my arm and puts his hand over my eyes as I laugh, and he chuckles, "You can't see me."

"I can see you in my mind." I raise my eyebrows as I chortle, right before Dargon's hand comes off of my face. I look up to the darkening sky previous to twisting in Dargon's lap as he releases the tightness in his abs, and we slowly lower to the ground, flat to the sand. I cross my arms under my chin and look down at Dargon, his gold eyes gazing up at me.

"What?" He whispers as I feel him inhale and exhale, his chest pushing mine up and down.

"I just like looking at you." I respond as I move my hand down to run my talons through his silky hair, "I love your eyes."

"Mmm." Dargon hums as his eyes close in a relaxed state, and I smile as I adjoin, "And your wings."

I reach my hand down to sift his feathers through my claws, the soft surfaces bringing a wider grin to my face. I glance between him and my talons as I see the look of complete tranquility on his face.

"Your muscles." I retract my hand so I can run my talons gently over his hard shoulders and biceps, though they are covered by a grey shirt. His eyes open as I fit my hand in between my body and his, in the center of our abdomens.

"You are making me crazy." He mumbles before turning us over, my back now in the sand and him sitting a top me. He puts his hands in the sand above my wings so he can lean down and look into my eyes, his gold ones never breaking contact with me. I feel my cheeks heat as the commotion of the other Slytherins goes quiet, but it resumes when Dargon shoots them all glares. He shakes his head before turning back to look at me, bending over till his nose is aside mine. I can make out his wings behind him, spanning out as far as they can go in my peripheral, but I never once take my eyes off of Dargon's.
