"I hear and see you, Amethyst." A deep voice makes the ground beneath my dream landscape tremble. I bite my lip as I look around, to see that I'm encased in a glass ball, and there is no escape. Outside of my ball is pitch black, except for a small ring of light that illuminates me and the two feet around my ball.

"I hear and see you, Amethyst." The silk-worthy voice reaches me ears through my confinement, and I feel my whole body twitch. I cross my arms over my chest which is covered by a black shirt and then freeze when I feel someone walking towards me. The ground shakes slightly with every step, and I look into the darkness to see bright white and blue spots in the shape of two circles before a chilling laugh filters through the glass and into my brain.

"I know where you sleep at night, Amethyst." The man's identity is unrecognizable, but his voice is almost connecting in my mind.

He speaks with a dark hint of violence though the words are light, and I feel my whole being under threat as the mystery man speaks.

"I know who you are, what you do."

Another step shakes my glass ball as I swallow hard, my whole throat constricting.

"And I'm coming for you."

I sit up with a jolt, my eyes taking in my room. Morning light filters through my window, but yet my room seems very dark.

I feel my whole body trembling as the eyes stay in my mind as well as the voice, and I put my hands down to my sweaty sheets to steady myself. My wings wraps around me in a shield of protection though there is no physical threat at the moment, and I just take a couple moments to collect myself.

I wonder where on Earth that came from, then remember Dixon looking at me in the exact same way as those blue and white eyes did. Everything comes together in a crash, and I gasp before I feel my heart almost hammer it's way out of my chest.

"Those are Dagon's eyes. The blue and white. They allow him to see in the dark." I mumble as I feel like throwing up, "He is speaking to me through my dreams. He knows where I live, he knows what I'm doing. He can hear everything I say, just like he could when he was a snake."

I shiver in fear and then mumble, "He must not be fully transformed otherwise we wouldn't have this connection. That's why I heard that loud scream, and that is why he didn't come to kill me that night."

I bite my lip absentmindedly in absolute terror before forcing myself out of bed and to my dresser. I put on a different pair of shorts, white with black stitching and then a black shirt, but not before I cut the back so I can fit my wings through.

I take a deep breath before opening my door and walking into the afternoon light, where I see Jerod outside his door, on the phone. His back is to me, and I stay silent as I hear him say, "Yes, I will see you later. Bye."

Jerod turns around and looks at me, and I see a hint of fear quickly pass through his eyes, but it immediately changes to joy at seeing me.

"Who was that?" I question as he grins and then replies, "Just a friend of mine."

I can tell he's lying by the way his eyes glint differently, but I choose to keep my words to myself. He must have a reason for not telling me who it is.

He wraps me in a hug and then asks, "How are you this morning?"

"Great." I lie as I think, we all have our secrets, "I'm ready for a good breakfast."

"Agreed." Jerod nods before bounding down the stairs, and I jump the railing, beating him into the kitchen. He squints at me as he says, "Do you have to be so reckless?"
