I follow Dixon through the water tunnel, my ears popping on the way down and up. It's not as painful when I'm a Slytherin, and I smile slightly, grateful my ears can adjust without the nasty ache.

I slow down behind Dixon as he starts to walk out of the water, and I soon feel the warm air on my face as I open my eyes to the Slytherin entrance. Dixon walks up to Dagon, who's still in the cave, his wings drying off from the water. I move out from the ocean water and wring out the bottom of my shirt at the same time as shaking my wings slightly to rid them of water droplets.

Once I'm sure I'm close to dry, I walk towards Dagon and Dixon because they're by the entrance, and I'm almost past when Dagon growls, "Amethyst, come back."

I retrace my steps nervously, now angry and fearful of Dagon for sure. I stand closer to Dixon as he narrows his eyes, and he growls, "You have permission to sleep in Julissa's old cave since she's moving into Dixon's room. It's level to Koray and Jandro's cave, but you're on the opposite side of the cave."

"Thank you." I nod my head at him, "Is there anything else you need?"

"No. Just get out of my presence." He snarls before I hurry away, not wanting to be near him any longer. I fly up to Julissa's cave and see a clean mattress there, and some clothes laying on the ground.

"I thought you could wear some clothes that might fit you better." Julissa says from behind me, and I turn around to look at her. She nods and smiles before I say, "Thank you. That's very kind."

"No problem, and besides, friends help each other." She grins at me, "Did you hear that I'm moving to Dixon's room?"

"Yes, Dagon told me." I nod at her with a smile, "I'm happy for you."

"Thanks! I'll leave you be then, and I'll see you later." Julissa says as she turns around, and she's about to jump when I ask, "How's Koray?"

"She's actually doing fine, other than cursing sharks into oblivion. Her wing just has some bite wounds, nothing major." Julissa smiles before I nod, watching her leave. She glides effortlessly to Dixon's door, and then steps inside, out of sight. I sigh and then turn back to my new room, looking at the clothes and bright white mattress.

"Hey, Amethyst."

I turn around to see Jario in my 'doorway', and I smile at him before asking, "How are you this afternoon?"

"Not bad. How did you survive Dagon? That must've been something." Jario says before sitting on my bed, and I plop down beside him before replying, "I'm not sure if I survived unscathed, but I managed. He didn't hit me, but-"

"-He hurt you mentally." Jario finishes my sentence as I nod, "He can be that way. Just give him lots of space and time."

"But what will that do? He promised he was going to kill me at the end of all this." I sigh as I sit forwards to put my talons through my hair.

"He won't kill you. He's trying to scare you. His demon excites in it." Jario responds as he places a massive hand on my back, "Do you know why he won't kill you?"

"No idea." I twist to face him, "How do you know all of this?"

"I know all of this because I see past people's facades they like to put up. Dagon is telling you he's going to kill you just for the fun of it. He isn't going to kill you because he still needs your power, and he's afraid of you." Jario says as I raise my eyebrows way above my eyes.

"Really? He's afraid of me? But why? And how? I'm just a pathetic human to him." I question as Jario laughs.

"He's afraid of you because you have more power than him. If you wanted him to be dead, you could make him that way. You could command him to starve, to kill himself, because you control snakes and birds." Jario explains and then says seriously, "You are not pathetic, Amethyst. You are one of the strongest Slytherins I know."
