"Do you want to tell the boys that Liam and I are staying over for the weekend?". Joanne asked Charles. He nodded in response as he followed her upstairs. "His room is on the right". She smiled and Charles walked through the hall, already hearing their noises coming from Liam's room. Charles opened the door and came in. "What are you doing, guys?". He asked and crouched down to the floor. "We're building this car!". Liam pointed at the car on the box. "Mom gave it to me for my birthday". He said next. "How nice is that. Are you helping him?". Charles turned to his own son, who nodded. "We can drive it when it's done". Jules said. "You'd have to pause it for a weekend". Charles said, causing the boys to frown. "Your mom agreed on staying over at our place for the weekend. I assume you want to come too, Liam?". He asked and Liam's eyes lit up. "Yeah!". He exclaimed with a smile. "Alright. Why don't you pack a small bag for the upcoming days?". Charles suggested, making the boys jump up and the car they were building was long forgotten.
Charles left Liam's room and looked down the hallway, assuming one of the other two doors would lead to Joanne's room. "Joanne?". He asked and pushed a door open, seeing her back turned to his while she rumbled in her closet. "I guess he wanted to stay home?". Joanne asked with a teasing tone and it made him chuckle. "Yeah, he didn't want to come with us at all". He grinned and briefly looked around. The room was spacious and luminous, natural beige and brown tints showing througout the furniture and the decorations. She folded some clothes into a larger bag. "Don't bother bringing clothing for tonight". Charles said as he sat down on the edge of her bed. "You want me to come to dinner in jeans?". Joanne replied with her eyebrow raised at him. "I have a gift for you". Charles spoiled slightly, the grin still visible on his lips. "Again?". Her cheeks slightly heated up and her fingers moved to fumble with the diamond pendant of the necklace she received from him.
"Can't I buy you gifts?". He asked, his eyes sparkling when he looked up at her, making her let out a laugh. He pulled her close by her hips, drawing her between his legs. She rested her hands on his shoulder. "I don't want to be spoiled". She spoke while one of her hands lifted to his face, her nails tracing his jawline. "Wait till you get used to it, princess". Charles said, turning his face to kiss her palm. "And you'll learn to love being spoiled as much as I like to spoil you". He said. Joanne shook her head with a smile, leaning down to peck his lips and she stepped away from between his legs to close the doors of her closet and check if she had all of the necessary things. "Let's get going". Joanne said and he got up from her bed. They went downstairs and called for the boys to come down too. Liam had his backpack ready too. "Now I think you should drive my car". Charles said, looking at her with a smile and he handed her the keys of the Lamborghini. "Are you sure?". She asked and he nodded, which made her take the keys from him.
"Alright then". Joanne smiled and passed him the keys of her small mercedes in response. Liam gladly hopped into the car again and Joanne settled behind the wheel, adjusting the seat to her height and the mirrors too before starting the engine and turning off the porch in reverse to get on the road to Charles' apartment.
Charles followed her passed the gates that were opened by his guards and she parked the car neatly in the assigned spot. He would later drive it back to the underground parking garage. He got out of her car and watched the lights of the Lamborghini flicker when she turned the engine off. He felt a warm feeling flooding his chest when he watched her get out of his car, the domestic feeling of simply her driving his car because they were together, meant a lot to him. He could easily imagine her coming home like that after a day of work at the school, both of the kids driving with her back home. The couple switched keys again. "How was that?". He asked and she smiled. "A cool experience. Although I prefer my own little car, it's easier to drive through the busy traffic here". Joanne replied. "I see". He chuckled. "Let's head inside, the maids probably have some coffee ready". Charles said next. The kids ran into the house in front of them and the guards at the door greeted Joanne friendly. Pierre just came out of Charles' office with some papers that were assigned to him.
