Charles, Joanne and the kids had an amazing time in Perth. Liam and Jules were so excited about the camping night that they immediately suggested to buy a tent and sleep outside in the garden for a night. Charles had said he'd think about it, but looked sideways at Joanne with a face that told her he rather hoped they kids would forget about it. She had giggled and shrugged, she didn't mind it much, she could imagine they'd like to go camping in their garden once. They visited the zoo of Perth in the afternoon and saw all kinds of animals, once again a day the two boys had loved a lot and they passed out in the backseat of the rental car on the way back to the apartment. Daniel and Elina meanwhile sent pictures of their honey moon and the first signs of Elina's baby bump. Joanne really admired the couple and hoped they'd stay in contact during their amazing trip. A day later, Charles and Joanne flew back home with Charles' jet. His work would continue as soon as they'd get home.
Joanne and Liam had a task too, which was sorting out all of their stuff to put it in boxes, as they were moving in with Charles and Jules. Liam was over the moon that it would happen that quickly already and he was very eager to throw all of his stuff in suitcases and boxes and move in with his best friend right away. It was a hot day in Monte Carlo and Joanne wiped the sweat from her forehead when she handed another box full of their stuff to the staff of the moving service. Liam was still in his room and selected his stuff. Joanne thought it would be a good idea to divide the things they wouldn't need any more, from the things they wanted to take to Charles' house. She had some clothes she didn't wear anymore and Liam had some clothing that was too small, so they could donate that for the people who could use it better than them. They left a large part of the furniture, as Joanne didn't want to sell her apartment yet. Maybe it could come in handy in the future. Not that she expected any heavy troubles in their relationship, but it was just good to keep it for now.
Charles was currently still at work, but he had taken half the day off to be with her. He was out for some work at the harbour, so he'd be back at his house before lunch. Marcus and Mick were at the gates and were informed about the situation. The atmosphere in both houses were great. Liam and Joanne were looking forward to drive all of their belongings to Charles' house. Charles and Jules were happy to have their beloved ones so close, the closest way possible. Joanne had always considered herself mature, but especially now while making a 'next step' in life, finally moving in with her partner, felt like she had become fully mature and clever enough to make her own decisions. "Is this everything, Ms. Hinds?". One of the staff members asked her. "I'll go check up on my son". She smiled and quickly handed him the last box before getting upstairs. "Liam?". She asked and poked her head around the door of his room. "Are you finished, honey?". She asked and he looked up at her as he put the last things in the box and sat up on his bed. "I'm going to miss this house a little bit". Liam admitted, making her smile as she moved to sit down next to him.
"Me too". Joanne replied. "But it will be great to be with Charles and Jules every day now". She added, which he heavily nodded too. "Absolutely!". Liam chirped. "I'm happy". He said and reached his arms out to hug his mother. Joanne pulled him on her lap and hugged him tightly back. "So am I". She responded, kissing his cheek. "Now, let's move houses". Liam hopped to the floor and hurried to put his shoes back on. Joanne took his last box and walked down the stairs. The moving staff added the box to the lorry as Joanne and Liam got into the car. They drove to Charles' apartment while the lorry followed. Joanne looked over at Liam as he sat next to her in the car. The sun was shining and this day couldn't have started any better.
Charles turned onto the gravel of his drive way, seeing the lorry of the moving staff standing in front of the door. A grin curled his lips when he saw Joanne's car parked next to him. He opened the door and took the jacket that belonged to his suit with him, which he pulled off because of the heat. Charles walked around the truck, greeting the staff and making his way into the hall. "Dad!". Jules called right away and ran up to his father, which made Charles bent down slightly and pick him up. "Hey there buddy". He kissed his son's cheek before putting him down to the floor. Liam followed from the kitchen and Charles crouched down to give the other boy a hug too, ruffling his hair. "Where's your mom, Liam?". He asked. "Here!". Joanne called from upstairs, huffing to blow some strands of hair out of her face as she dribbled down the steps. Charles' smile grew when he looked at her, she had used a colourful hairband to wrap around her head, her black hair up in a bun that was messy and included a lot of loose strands. Her face was glowing slightly and he guessed she was sweating.
