[mention of sex and sexual behavior as well as mention of a toxic relationship in this one, stay safe y'all]
When they walked into the building, no one dared to say a thing.
Gerard's steps were fast and he clenched his fists, still upset about his brother's irresponsible behavior. He marched up to the desk and put his hands flat down, sending the lady in front of him a sarcastic smile. "Hello. I'm searching for my brother and his girlfriend- Liza Chapman? Where is she?"
The lady kept typing on her computer, not even looking at him. "She's in the doctor's office right now, I don't know how long it'll take."
Nervously, Gerard tapped his fingers on the counter. "Is there a certain Michael Way in the waiting room?"
She stopped her typing and gave him a look over the rim of her glasses. Then, she pointed with her pen to a door on the right. "In there."
Mumbling a 'thank you', Gerard walked into the waiting room, Frank trailing after him.
"Gee, oh my God," Mikey instantly rushed over to him, "I- I'm so sorry, I know we shouldn't have been so foolish, it was so stupid-" He glanced at Frank, then quickly cleared his throat and composed himself. "I mean, yeah. I think we have a problem."
At that, Gerard couldn't help but scoff. "No, you have a problem, as well as Liza. I don't have anything to do with that."
Mikey whimpered and caught his lower lip between his teeth. "Please, I can't do that alone, I need your help. I can't get a child yet, Gerard. I'm barely twenty."
"I know." As much as Gerard wanted to smack him, he refrained; yes, it was absolutely fucking stupid, but violence wouldn't change that.
Plus, that wouldn't make him better than Jessica, would it?
So, instead of raising his hand or yelling, Gerard sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You know what? Let's get you some fresh air, maybe that takes your mind off things." With a hand on his brother's back, he pushed him out of the waiting room and to the exit, telling the lady behind the desk that they'd be back soon but she barely paid any attention to them.
As soon as they were outside, Gerard took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and handed one stick over to Mikey who took it gratefully. Then, he held one out for Frank.
"Oh, uh, no, thank you," Frank quickly shook his head and held his hands up in defense, "I don't smoke."
Gerard shrugged and put the cigarette between his own lips instead. "Good, don't start," he said, accepting the lighter Mikey held out for him and lighting the cancer-stick.
Frank leaned his head to the side. "But it's okay that you're smoking? Fucking hypocrite."
Weakly, Gerard chuckled, letting some smoke escape his lips. And right then, he looked so pretty that Frank actually felt the urge to kiss him.
But he didn't. He was too much of a coward for that.
Mikey, though, seemed to read his mind, and gave him an encouraging nod.
Still, he couldn't do it.
"I never said it was a good thing that I'm smoking," Gerard said, grinning, oblivious to the situation, "I just want that only one of us dies of lung cancer and not both."
Mikey smacked his arm. "You're not dying of lung cancer, shut up."
Right as Frank wanted to tell him that that wasn't how it worked, the phone in his pocket rang. He excused himself and took a few steps aside, then fished his phone from his pocket and answered it. "Hello?"
