With Newtmas

NEWT POV:

I looked a the people in the room. Every human was hiding in the building as a zombie apocalypse happened. A new breed of zombies. I signed and left. I made up my mind. I made it outside and found Dave. "I made up my mind. I'll agree to be the zombie king if you promise to not hurt anyone" I said. "Very well. Come on" said Dave. Him and the other zombies led me to their base. The coronation will be at midnight. I know I'm making the right choice but I'm still scared inside. If I don't do this then people could die and the new zombies will probably be executed. If I do, what about Thomas? How does he feel about this? The news of the coronation was already on the news for everyone to see. I put my suit on and looked in mirror. I always thought Thomas would be there when I become a zombie. I want him to be the one to turn me. He is the only one I trust. I wonder if every king and queen felt this scared when they had their coronation.

Once I'm king I'll call off the attack. I'll have a meeting with the world leaders and figure out a peaceful ending to all this. I adjusted my suit and went to the coronation. As I walked down the aisle to the front I know every step brings me closer to death. Not real death but close enough. I made it to the front and turned to the crowd. The crown was placed on my head. "King Newt of the zombies" said the speaker. My heart is beating so fast it might break my chest. "Hold out your arm" said Dave. I held out my arm and rolled my sleeve up. I'm doing this to protect other. I'll be okay. I just wish Thomas was here. Dave cut my arm with a knife. I winced as it hurt. Dave cut his hand. He grabbed my hand with his clean hand. I braced myself to become a zombie as Dave brought his hand closer to my arm. "NO" Thomas yelled as he burst into the room. Dave turned to see Thomas. "Tommy" I said. "I told you to stay with the humans" said Thomas. "I know. But I don't have a choice" I said.

"Newt of course you have a choice. Just please come back with me" said Thomas. I took a step forward and Dave grabbed my arm. It burned from the venom. I groaned in pain. "NEWT" Thomas yelled running up to me. Dave let go of my arm. I started to feel dizzy. That's not normal. I can't breath. I fell into Thomas' arms. "It's too late Thomas. Newt is our new king" said Dave. I laid in Thomas' arms and started to drift off. "NEWT stay with me. Please" said Thomas. I started to sweat and the rest I don't remember. I was at the hospital. I was on a bed hooked up to monitors and had my arm wrapped up. My head hurt a little. I bolted up and Thomas ran up to me. "Newt it's okay. You're safe. It's all over" said Thomas. I hugged Thomas and closed my eyes as I cried. Thomas hugged back and rubbed my back. "It's okay Newt" said Thomas. "I know" I said as I cried. "I was just so scared after everything" I said. Thomas kissed my head. "You're still human Newt. You aren't going to end up like them" said Thomas.

"But how? I was infected" I said. Thomas pulled up a chair and sat down. I relaxed in his chest and listened to his heart beat. It helped to calm me down. "The mark on your forehead protected you. The doctors believe you didn't turn because you want me to turn you" said Thomas. I smiled and wiped my eyes. "Ya, I trust you" I said. I cried as Thomas hugged me. I'm glad that Dave wasn't able to turn me. "Can you stay here? Please, I don't want to be with out you" I said as I closed my eyes. "Yes, I'm not leaving till I know you will be okay" said Thomas. He rubbed my back as I cried. I listen to Thomas' heart beat and relaxed. It was peaceful and helped me stop crying. "Tommy" I asked. "Ya" said Thomas. "What happened to Dave and the others" I asked. Thomas signed. "They were executed Newt. I'm not sure if you remember but you started sweating and vomiting after you were infected. You fainted in my arms right before the military of most of the world powers came in and took over. Those zombies lied" said Thimas.

I was surprised. "But, they said they wouldn't hurt anyone" I said. "They only said that so you would agree to become their king. The government's had them executed once they were all captured. They weren't able to control themselvs like us. They were slowly slipping farther away from humanity. It was the best way to end the event. Now they can rest in peace" said Thomas. If that is true I wonder if Dave was truly evil. Maybe he just lost his mind. He could of been anyone. Like a father who cared for his family, or a lawyer who seemed justice for all. Who ever he was is gone now. I'm sure his humanity is back now that he is dead. I snuggled in Thomas' chest and ended up taking a nap. After a few hours Thomas snuck away before the American government could take him to have a z band. As far as I know since Thomas helped the humans defeat the evil zombies the American government promised they wouldn't press charges on Thomas and he will be a free zombie citizen when he puts a z band on. However we will wait till my 16 birthday. When that day comes I'll become a zombie and put a z band.

OKAY I HAVEN'T ACTUALLY SEEN MIDSOMMAR BUT THE WHOLE KING THING AND EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS I GUESS IS A LITTLE SIMILAR. WHAG DO YOU THINK?
