Beep!
Beep!
Beep!

I pulled out my cell phone and checked the new message.

Probably another how are you, honey or a why don't you answer my calls from my mother.

I rolled my eyes at the thought but checked out the message anyhow.

Don't take me wrong.
I do care for my parents but I am not in to the lovey dovey shit.

I did mentioned that I keep my distance, didn't I?

I got this distant after that incident and I know that I could not blame my parents for that.

It's just because I didn't want to get hurt... again.

As I read the message I couldn't help the squeal that escaped my lips and that made Henry stamp on the brakes and that threw us forward.

Mia fell off her seat and Isla landed on top of her.

And even I was almost thrown off my seat.

Henry threw back his head to look at me with a startled expression and so did Edward.

We all were riding in Henry's car on our way to a park.

Yeah, a park!

I gave my friends a sheepish smile.

"What happened, Zena?" Henry demanded. "I thought someone was strangling you."

"He texted me!" I cried in delight, waving my cellphone.

Mia , who now had scrambled back on to her seat, shrieked.

"You are having a secret boyfriend!"

Henry went in to a coughing fit.

"Come on girl, you have a boyfriend, but you didn't even tell us?" Henry literally shouted.

I gasped.

"You idiots!" I cried. "I Do NOT have a damn boyfriend!"

Mia placed a hand on her chest and Isla heaved a sigh of relief.

Edward laughed and Henry also sighed in relief.

"So, who was it?" Isla asked, wriggling her eyebrow.

I felt a huge smile appear on my face.

"Guess who! It was Alex!"

Henry scoffed and started the car.

Isla and Mia smiled.

"I always had this theory that when a teenage girl's face breaks in to a huge smile that it means she is having something to do with a boyfriend" started Isla.

"But, I never thought that a teenage girl would have such a huge piano on her face when she got a text from her brother, and that too, our QUEEN!"

I rolled my eyes and felt them drifting back to the text from my brother.

Hey, little sissy! How you doing? Sorry that I couldn't call ya. Too busy, literally sunk in loads of papers. Uncle is literally killing my poor brain.
( wink ) Hope to see your silly face soon.
- Alex, the most handsome and brainy boy ever.
