Zena's POV

My fingers struggled with the shoes for a few seconds, slightly trembling from nervousness. It was a while since I last did this and of course I was nervous.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I was finally done with my shoes and stood up. As I took a step forward, I lost my balance and almost landed on my face but lucky for my face,a pair of very familiar arms caught my wrists and straightened me.

"You sure are falling for me so hard,Adams." His deep voice laced with obvious amusement, whispered in my ear. Shaking my head,to throw away the tingles and all stupid feelings,I pulled my wrists free from his grip and raised my head to meet his gaze and gave him an are you serious look.

"You coming?" Lysander asked, giving me his hand, ignoring my look.

I hesitated. What if I fall? What if I lose my balance? Or what if I make a fool out of myself??

"Scared?" He asked, teasingly, seeing my hesitation. I scowled but still, didn't take his hand.

"As if." I scoffed.

Lysander smirked. "Whatever you say,......... You are scared."

"Not so." I defended.

"Uh uh! Yes so."

"Not."

"Yes!"

"Stand and watch!" I snapped and glided toward the rink ,making sure not to lose my balance again.

As I reached the ice skating rink, excited bubbled up in me. Yeah, you heard right. The ice skating ring.

Let's just say, this was my very first real date with Lysander Dunbar.

To be honest, I was shocked when he drove in to this place for our date. I thought it would probably be a boring date in some kind of fancy restaurant. But goodness, didn't he surprise me!

Aaaaand..... I loved it.

I stepped in to the ring, tingles of excitement running up and down my skin. The place was beautiful to look at, lamp posts as well as small colourful bulbs lighting up the area. There were not much people in the rink, probably because it was night time. There was several benches where one or two old and young couples were resting and there was also a hot chocolate booth!!

Stepping in to the ring, first,I clung on to the edge like some frightened kid. Hey, don't judge me, guys. It was a long time since I last skated.

I took a deep breath, calming down my over excited nerves. I allowed myself to imagine as if I was floating on ice. Floating so freely and leisurely like flying. I slowly let go of the edge and allowed my body to do the work. Slowly, I glided on the ice, ever so carefully.

There was a flash of movement beside me and I almost jumped out of my skin. As the wind slapped my face, involuntarily my hands flew to grip the edge.

"Hey, there, need any help, princess on ice?" Lysander grinned, few steps ahead of me.

I frowned and shook my head, clinging on to the edge for my dear life.

Lysander's eyes shifted from my face to my hands that was practically hugging the edge and a small teasing grin spread across his ever so gorgeous face, making my frown grow.
