Zena excused herself as her phone rang and hurried to a silent corner.

A smile spread across her face as she saw the caller ID.

She accepted the call and brought the phone to her ear.

A familiar voice spoke from the other end.

"Hey, beautiful!"

Lyzender waited and waited.
He checked his wrist watch.

Fifteen minutes had passed but still, Zena had not returned.

He felt a teeny worry about her.

Was she okay?

He knew that she was strong and fast and feisty but, still..

He sighed and got up, making up his mind to find her.

As he turned around a corner, he saw her.

She was leaning against a pole, her cell phone pressed against her ear and she was chatting happily.

Lyzender sighed in relief and turned to go back when a certain word from the conservation fell on her ears.

Daniel!

He swirled around at once. He could clearly hear what she was saying.

"Yeah, Daniel. I'll see you later at there." She was saying.

"Of course, I'll come. Yeah, see you. Good bye."

And she laughed.

"Yeah, you fool."

"I miss you too, see you Daniel."

Lyzender felt his whole world stop and his fists clenched in anger.

Again, that Danny Nanny.

Zena ended the phone call and walked back to the table she left Lyzender.

She had to admit, she enjoyed spending time with Lyzender.

She wore a genuine smile as she walked there but it fell as soon as her eyes fell on Lyzender.

He had a glass of alcohol in his hand and there was a half empty bottle on the table. It was clear that he had been drinking.

Zena hurried toward him, cursing under her breath.

What in the world made him drink like that?

He swallowed the burning liquid without a second thought. His shaking hand reached for the bottle that promptly sat on the table and grabbed it by its neck.

He poured another glassful for himself and brought it up to his lips.

He felt his mind whirl and his body lose control but he didn't care.

He needed it. He needed it to ease the pain he was feeling. He needed it to lessen the anger he felt.

He knew no better way to do it.

His lips were almost tracing the sharp edge of the glass when an elegant yet strong hand reached out and stopped him, long fingers tightly wrapping around his wrist.

Immediately, he felt tingles rush through out his skin by that simple touch.
He didn't need to look up to know who she was.

Still, he looked up to meet the pair of gorgeous brown eyes he had fallen in love with.

Zena frowned at Lyzender.

"You are drunk." She said more like a statement.

Lyzender rolled his eyes.
