"Soooooooo... Why are we here?"

            Mia asked, adding an extra lengthiness to the word, 'so'.
She expectantly looked first at Jake who had his arms crossed, grinning all over his face and then at Max who was trying his best to take Emma's attention.

Emma, Mia, Isla, Henry, Edward and Lily were all invited to Lyzender's apartment by Jake and Max who said that it was an officially important matter that could change the whole world. In Jake's words, he had  summoned the six teenagers by banging on their door at nine a.m. on a warm Sunday. The other boys were also there and Zena was the only absentee, partly because she was uninvited and partly because she was not home.

Lyzender, Max, Jake and Ethan were seated together while the girls were together. Henry and Edward occupied two separate chairs while Blaze had his usual corner.

Jake and Max shared a look. Mia shrieked and threw her hands up in frustration. "Geez! You pumpkin heads! Why in the world did you wake us in the early morning! You ruined my sleep!" She yelled.
Max and Jake gave her a dry look.
"Ahem, Missy. But it was nine, not freaking five!" Jake exclaimed. Mia rolled her eyes. "So what?" She demanded. "Doesn't a girl want her beauty sleep?" Jake snorted.
"Just tell us, you dumb jerk!" Emma hissed. Jake gulped and straightened himself. Let's just say that he is pretty scared of her.

Jake soon overcame his fear and threw Lyzender a cheeky grin. Lyzender looked really nervous and was fiddling with his fingers and that made Emma raise her eyebrows.
"OK, ladies and gentleman!" Jake started in a business like tone. His voice might have been serious but the look in his eyes were screaming mischief. "We all are gathered here to.."
"To say our goodbyes to the late Mr. Max the Stupid Flirt." Emma finished in a cold and dangerous voice, shooting a glare at Max who had moved to sit beside her. "Unfortunately but not that unfortunately, he was ruthlessly murdered by a certain red head!" Mia completed with an evil smirk. Max gulped and slipped back to his original seat.

Jake cleared his throat and started again. "I have a really really really really really important announcement to make." Isla and others gave him curious looks. Jake again threw Lyzender a cheeky grin and by now, Lyzender was slightly blushing.

"This important announcement is really important.."

"Urghh.. Just spit it out!" Mia exclaimed, impatiently but was ignored by him. Emma rolled her eyes and grabbed the glass of water which was on the stool.

Jake shared a look with Max and Ethan. Max smirked and Ethan gave him a thumbs up.

Jake took a deep breath. "What I have to say is..."

"You are gay, right?" Henry interrupted, with a bored look. Max almost choked on his breath and Lyzender went in to a coughing fit. Ethan burst in to laughter while Jake stood there, gaping.

"The heck!" He yelled. "I'm completely straight! And now for the hot hot news.."

"Yeah, you are gonna burn yourself." Emma rolled her eyes.

Jake ignored her. "The news.... Our King of Rosewood, Lyzender Dunbar is in love with the Queen, Zena Adams!"

Aaaaaand .. That was it.

Emma choked on her water and went in to a coughing fit. Isla gasped in surprise while Mia shrieked in delight and did her little happy dance. Lily dropped the book she was carrying and her eyes widened. Edward fell off his chair and Henry gratefully landed on top of him.
Lyzender's cheeks reddened and he sank in to the couch, cursing Jake under his breath. When that idiot had said that he had a perfect plan to bring Lyzender and his ninja princess together, he never in a hundred years thought that it would be something like this.
