I know the last chapter took place on Saturday, but I'm skipping ahead to Monday for this one. I just thought describing Victoria's Sunday would feel too much like a boring filler chapter, considering it would probably just be about her thoughts on what Mr. Way told her again, lol
Victoria's POV:
The shrill, irritating beeping of my morning alarm rips me out of my deep sleep once again. I groggily reach over and shut the stupid thing off. Great, the first week of school was only 2 days long, but now I have to suffer through the first full, 5-day-long week. On the bright side, today is my first day of mate bonding with Mr. Way after school, which I'm pretty nervous for, but still excited at the same time. I wonder where he'll take me, and what we'll do...
I finally get out of bed, going in the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face off as usual, before going into my closet to pick my clothes out for the day. I decided on my Green Day American Idiot T-shirt, my dark purple skinny jeans, and my red high top Converse, thinking I should be just a tiny bit more colorful today since I'm going to be hanging out with Mr. Way later. I then straighten my hair and do my usual eyeliner as always. I go downstairs, grabbing a Pop Tart and my backpack before heading outside. While I'm waiting for Frank, I can't help but continue to think about Mr. Way–er, Gerard. Of course I'm excited to be hanging out with a real vampire, but I can't help but be pretty nervous as well. I'm sure he can control himself, but after school, him and I will be completely alone. What if he suddenly snaps and drains me, killing me right then and there...? No, no, I'll be okay. I'm sure I will. I'm Gerard's mate, he would never hurt me...
Frank shows up, and I get up to go walk with him. I don't know if he remembers that today is the first day I'm hanging out with Gerard after school, so I figure I should remind him just in case.
"Hey Frank, remember I can't walk with you today after school. Apparently Ger–Mr. Way is taking me out for my first day of vampire mate bonding today," I say to him, not wanting to make Frank feel uncomfortable by me calling Mr. Way by his first name.
"Oh yeah, that," Frank says, smiling and giggling a little. "I can't believe you're actually completely comfortable with this. I mean, isn't it kinda weird to basically be going on these little after school "dates" with your teacher?" He asks.
"I mean, I guess it does seem weird when you think about it that way, but at the same time, he's a vampire and I'm his mate, so it's a little different. Plus, it's not like there's a disturbing age gap. He's a vampire who will be young forever, and he doesn't even look old at all. And once he turns me, I doubt I'll feel any kind of embarrassment about any of this anyway," I explain.
"I guess so. What does he plan on doing with you today anyway? Like taking you to the park, a restaurant, a movie, any of that for example?"
Frank asks."I don't know, he just said we'll be hanging out, he never said specifically what we'll be doing exactly," I tell him.
"Ok, well, whatever it is, have fun and I hope it isn't too awkward," Frank laughs.
"I will," I laugh back.
We reach the school, and Frank and I decide to just immediately head to our study hall classroom and chill out for a little bit while we wait for the teacher to come in. It's not like we're doing anything different or important in that class anyway. I decide to just put my headphones on and listen to music while messing around on my phone, while Frank does the same. I know the day just started, but I really want 7th period to get here already. I wonder if Mr. Way will tell me what he's wanting to do today...
Major time skip to before last period
I'm waiting for Frank again outside my 6th period class as always. This school day has by far felt the longest and slowest. It has to be a combination of the fact that it's the first Monday of the first full week of school, and obviously as well as today being the first day Mr. Way and I are spending time together after school for mate bonding. I also wonder how long him and I are going to hang out every day. Will it just be for one or two hours, or until it gets dark out? My parents obviously don't get home until much later, so I'm not worried about that. I also don't mind being out for that long, it's pretty boring being alone at my house anyway. I just can't wait to find out his plan.
