(This is a time skip to when Victoria and Frank are leaving their 4th period class and heading to lunch. I don't think we need all the details of their other classes lol)
Victoria's POV:
"Thank Christ that damn class is finally over!" Frank sighs to me as we're leaving our 4th period class. I giggle at him.
"Jeez I know right? All my classes today have actually felt like they've flown by, except for this stupid math class, surprise, surprise! I honestly didn't understand a single thing that teacher was explaining, did you?" I ask.
"Hell no, he may as well have been explaining a foreign language to me, as with any kind of math." Frank answers.
"Ha, same. Well at least we get to go to lunch now. I'm starving, and already bored of sitting in classes." I say as we fight our way through the crowded hallway and down the stairs to the cafeteria.
I'm extremely thankful that I have Frank with me as we walk into the cafeteria because it's already so crowded. If I was by myself I would have to awkwardly walk around and try to find a table to sit at, all along with the insults being embarrassingly thrown at me from the jocks and popular whores. In fact, I already see groups of them hurriedly filling up tables when we walk in.
"Damn, this school needs a bigger cafeteria," Frank says while looking around, seeing that pretty much every single table already had people sitting at it. Neither of us have the confidence to walk up to a table and ask if we can sit, so we have to find an empty one.
"Hey, look, there's a table!" I tell Frank, pointing to an empty table that's a little more secluded and hidden from the rest of the cafeteria, which is nice.
"Oh, rad! And away from all the riff-raff too!" He says as we walk over to the table and sit down. Frank and I had only been sitting at the table for a couple of minutes when another boy with a curly afro of hair comes over.
"Hey!" He says to Frank. "It's fine if I sit with you two, right?" He asks, while quickly glancing at me and then back at Frank.
"Yeah, that's cool," Frank tells him as the other boy sits down. He must have noticed I looked confused and starts talking to me again. "Oh yeah, Vic, this is Ray. I met him in my 2nd period class and we really hit it off. Don't worry, he's really cool, and guess what? He's a guitar player just like me!" Frank explains to me like an excited 5-year-old on Christmas morning.
I look back at Ray again, he gives me a really warm and friendly smile. "Hi, I know your friend Frank here already told you, but I'm Ray, what's your name?" He asks nicely.
"Hi, I'm Victoria," I say, kind of shyly. "But you can call me Vic. It's what Frank has always called me." I say while smiling at him.
"Ok, Vic." He says while smiling, and I manage a slight giggle. "Hey, we should go get lunch, the line's getting pretty long now." Frank says while pointing to the rapidly growing lunch line.
"Good point." I add as the 3 of us leave our backpacks at the table and go to get in line. Surprisingly the line moves quickly and we get our lunch in just about 5 minutes. We go back to our table and just start talking about random first day back at school stuff.
"So how has your guys' first day been?" Ray asks Frank and I.
"It actually hasn't been too bad, my classes have mostly felt quick, and best of all, Frank and I have 3 classes together." I say to Ray.
"That's great! What class periods?" Ray asks.
Frank answers this time. "We have 1st period together, which also luckily is just study hall for us, 4th period, which is math, and then last period, English." He says.
"Wow! 3 classes and lunch together, and you basically can just chill out 1st period? That's like a dream schedule." Ray says. It's nice seeing him be so happy that Frank and I have classes together, it's like he can already tell that him and I are really close friends.
"Right? That's exactly what I was thinking. Plus I tend to get teased by the popular kids, but whenever Frank is with me, they all shut up because of they're all scared of him," I explain to Ray, trying to hold back a laugh as I think back to what happened that morning, when a really big, tough looking jock started shouting at me but immediately closed his mouth when he saw Frank. Ray sees the humor in what I told him and manages a laugh as well.
"That's amazing. I know those preps can be huge jerks, it's hilarious how they get scared whenever they see someone with piercings and lots of tattoos." Ray says before looking back at Frank.
"Yeah, you should've been there this morning. Vic and I had just walked into the school, and these jocks and their plastic, bitchy girlfriends already started giving her shit. The biggest jock in the group was saying something to her, and dude, literally, as soon as he saw me, he shut his big, stupid mouth right up!" Frank explains, also laughing at the end.
"Wow, you 2 definitely have a great system going on there!" Ray says while smiling at the both of us.
"We really do, and plus Vic is my best friend. No one messes with her. I'll even be keeping an eye on you to make sure you don't try anything funny with her." Frank jokingly says to Ray. I just roll my eyes and smile before we all start laughing again.
Lunch goes on, we all continue to talk some more. I find out that Ray also likes the same type of music that Frank and I like, so that's really cool. Eventually the bell rings, signaling the end of lunch. I fight my way through the crowd now all through the cafeteria doors while saying bye to Frank and Ray.
"Bye Vic! I'll see you last period!" Frank says.
"Bye! See you then!" I say. Ray waves bye at me and I wave back. It's gonna suck not having Frank with me in my next 2 class periods, but at least I get to see him again in 7th, my last class of the day, where I guess we can also find out more about that possibly new teacher, Mr. Way. I've also made friends with Ray, which is exciting because I usually struggle with making friends. This day is still going great so far.
(A/N): we've introduced Ray now, yay! The next chapter is what we've been waiting for, where we finally get to enter Mr. Way's class for the first time. Stay tuned to see how that goes! :)
