I'm out of bed now and I first go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I then go back to my room and start looking through my closet for something to wear. After looking for a little while, I decide on my black Misfits T-shirt with the white rib bones on it, my blue skinny jeans, my tattoo choker and my black and white Converse. I get dressed, and then go back in the bathroom to brush my hair and straighten it. I then do my makeup, putting a thick line of eyeliner on my top and bottom eyelids, and winging it slightly. I take a look at myself in the mirror when my phone buzzes, showing that I got a text from my friend Frank.
F: hey Vic we're walking to school together right?
I immediately text him back, since I'm not doing anything else right now
V: yeah! I actually just finished getting ready, I'm gonna head outside and wait for you now
F: ok
I put my phone back down. I should explain, Frank Iero is my closest friend. He and I met in sophomore year, and became friends pretty quickly. He looks pretty intimidating when you first see him, with the tattoos on his arms and neck, and lip and nose piercings, but he's actually a really sweet and kind hearted person. He is pretty attractive too, and we tried dating during junior year, but it too awkward and we agreed to just stay best friends. He kind of acts as a bodyguard to me during the school day, as the popular bitches and even the jocks are scared of him. No matter how much I start getting teased at school, as soon as the bullies see Frank, they immediately leave me alone. I really hope we have at least a couple of classes together. We'll have to compare schedules when we get to school.
My parents are never home in the mornings, as they both work pretty early and are already gone by the time I'm waking up. I go into the kitchen and grab a Pop Tart from the pantry before grabbing my earbuds and backpack and heading out the door to wait for Frank. The other good thing is that him and I live on the same street, and our neighborhood is pretty close to the school, so we walk together every morning.
I'm sitting on my porch eating my Pop Tart and just messing around my phone while listening to music when I look up and see Frank on the sidewalk waving at me. I wave back and gather my things up before going over to him.
"Hey Vic!"
"Hey Frankie!" I give him a hug as if I haven't seen him in years. To be fair, I never really got to see him much over the summer, as my parents sadly aren't too fond of him because of the way he looks. They don't seem to care that much though, as long as him and I don't get into legal trouble or anything like that.
"So what's up?" he asks as we start walking.
"Eh, not much. I'm already dreading going to school, though. Having to actually do work again and of course, all the stupid preps giving me crap all the time." I say.
"Well, don't worry. After all, it's our last year, which means everything they say won't matter anymore, and our classes should be easy. And just remember, those preps who think they're all badass are terrified of me, so just keep me close." He says before laughing and smiling at me.
"You're right," I laugh back. "I really hope we have classes together, we can just go to the library and look at our schedules when we get to school. We're early enough, it's only 7:10, school doesn't start til 7:50, and we're already almost there." I explain.
"Sounds good." Frank responds.
We finally reach the school, which is pretty chaotic as it always is on the first day. A huge line of cars in the lane where parents are dropping kids off, school buses going in and out of the parking lots, lots of students walking around, and cars driven by reckless high schoolers whipping into the parking lots and into the spaces, almost running people over in the process. I really wonder how these kids got their licenses, they drive so fast and carelessly. It scares the living shit out of me.
