"Jennie? What's gotten into you?"
Jennie had just gotten home after getting dropped off by Taeyong. She was currently up against the door, grinning until her cheeks started to hurt. Although, she didn't care to stop anyways.
"I just got asked out by the boy of my dreams!" She closed her eyes, imagining the scenario she was rewinding 50 times on the way back from the mall.
"Taeyong asked you out? Oh, how wonderful!" Her mom looked joyful, with a mix of surprise.
Jennie's face had changed drastically. "Ew! No. His name is Nakamoto Yuta."
"Why, I haven't heard of this young man a day in my life."
"Its because talking about my love life to my parents is weird." She took off her shoes, moving into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"Well, whoever this boy is, I expect he treats you like the greatest young lady you are."
Jennie smiled at her mother. "Thanks mom. He's very sweet, I promise."
She then took the glass of water up to her bedroom, closing the door behind her.
Jennie remembered the conversation she had earlier with Taeyong. Songwriting did start to sound appealing again, and so did playing the keyboard hidden in her closet. She set down the glass on her desk, before rummaging through her closet.
"I ought to tidy my closet up again," she mumbled to herself. She found her keyboard, and the stand that went with it. It was a bit dusty, but in no time it would look brand new again.
She set the keyboard up near her desk, as great memories of it whirled in her mind. Jennie then began to search for her old songbook within her desk drawers. It wasn't too hard to find, and she pulled it out from underneath some textbooks.
She smiled at what she wrote years ago, with a whole lot of cringing along with a warm, familiar feeling. It felt like she was walking down memory lane, the nostalgia being real present right then.
Jennie put the songbook back on the stand of her keyboard, once she was done reading through it. She got up from the chair and headed to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
When class started up again, Jennie sat beside Rosé, chatting away happily.
"He's going to meet my parents tonight. I'm kind of nervous. We haven't even gone out yet. The date's going to be at my house, though,"Jennie was nervous, but her glee was overpowering the anxious feeling, and she was very much happy.
"Wait, why your house?" Rosé's eyes squinted.
"My parent's just preferred if we just hung out there for the first time, see how he's like. After that is free game, though."
"Ooh, okay Miss Kim! Look at you, finally talking about dating. If you told me last week you're dating Yuta, I would have thought you were pranking me."
Jennie laughed, agreeing with her. Things really changed a lot in such a small amount of time. Not that she was complaining. It felt nice things were in her favor for once.
"Okay, class!" Mrs. Nam shut the classroom door behind her, making her way to the front of the chalkboard. "I've recieved numerous complaints and troubles with some of your baby dolls, so I've decided to scrap the whole idea of them for your projects. You will all recieve an A for them, however."
The class showed visible relief across their faces.
"So, for today's lesson, we'll be discussing the importance of communication. It is one of the key factors on what makes or breaks a couple," Mrs. Nam steps away to her computer to open a visual aid presentation on the board.
