"I'm going to miss the food here. I never eat American food at home." Doyoung motioned to his plate of eggs, bacon, and toast. He took a piece of toast and bit into it.
Jennie was the last one to sit at Rosé's and Irene's table. She looked stressed.
"Trouble in paradise?" Irene giggled, reaching for her napkin.
"Taeyong was watching me sleep again this morning."
"Again?" Rosé laughed.
"Yes, again," She poured herself some water. "Taeyong somehow always manages to wake up before I do and tease me. He has long-lasting batteries." She scowls.
Suho chuckled, but still gave her an empathetic look. "Boys will be boys. Always trying to catch girls attention."
"He has my attention, though. He's made his point." She began cutting her pancakes.
"Mm, maybe not in the way you're thinking." Irene commented, slightly shaking her head.
"Oh, wait. You mean he's trying to get my interest in him?" She looked appalled.
She pondered the thought. If he were to come into the hall right now and professed his love, how would she react? Her first thought was to slap him. No, she feel like she couldn't do that. It felt a little much. She feel like she'd run. She wasn't good at things like this. She wasn't good with words, either.
The group saw the thought running in her mind, and were slightly amused. Before anything else was said, Taeyong sauntered into the food hall.
"Good morning," he greeted everyone. They smiled and greeted him back as he settled in the chair next to Jennie's. She was currently avoiding the groups' eyes, as they were all looking at her.
"Good morning, princess," Taeyong greeted her when she didn't say anything. She hummed as she drank some of her water.
"You ready to go pack afterwards?" Taeyong began piling his plate with some eggs.
"Yup."
This is Taeyong, we're dealing with! Why am I feeling all awkward?
After everyone finished eating, they headed to their respective cabins. On the way there, Taeyong was suspicious of Jennie's behavior.
"Are you okay princess? You didn't talk much at breakfast."
She crossed her arms, "perfectly fine. Just ready to go home."
He didn't seem satisfied with that answer, she can tell by his face, but he didn't press any further. He opened the door.
They packed without much saying, and headed to meet their class.
It seemed that they were the first to be done packing, since no one else was around. Jennie took the chance to sit at a bench near some trees, that faced the waters they swam at.
Taeyong followed, and sat adjacent to her. The wind was flowing through the air, and it felt perfect. It wasnt cold at all. It was warm, and it seemed like it enveloped Jennie in a hug. She closed her eyes, trying to take in the sounds of the water, the chirps of the birds, and the wind hitting the trees.
She heard the click of a phone camera, which caused her to open her eyes. She saw Taeyong put down his phone, smiling childishly.
"Did you take a picture of me?"
"Yes," he grinned.
She hit his leg. "Let me see."
He scoot to sit alongside her and showed her the picture. She actually looked really good.
