Up in Jennie's room, sat Rosé and Doyoung in their chairs. They watched in awe at the new couple enjoying their dinner. Rosé's heart warmed up significantly, even more than when Jennie got together with Yuta.
Rosé would always want the best for Jennie, she wanted her to be happy. It seemed for the longest Jennie got the short end of the stick, when it came to her happiness. Now, looking at her friend finally finding a love she'd always only see in movies, she grinned. The two witnessed Taeyong gently grabbing Jennie's hand into his, as they continued eating.
"I'm so happy for them," Rosé smiled, while leaning her head on the windowsill.
"Yeah, I would have never thought they'd ever get together," Doyoung smiled and laughed.
"Me neither, but looking at them now, it just makes sense. You know?"
Doyoung agreed, nodding his head. The two then decided to leave, having seen what they needed to see, and let the couple actually have some alone time.
The next day, Jennie sat in Taeyong's car, looking out of the window. She felt such joy now that she and Taeyong worked things out, and were now together.
A sudden thought crept up in her head. Was she moving a little too fast? She had known Taeyong pretty much her whole life. Less than 2 days ago, she was with someone else.
She decided to not worry about it any longer. She was meant to be with Taeyong, in her own special timing. Her breakup with Yuta was clean, and mutually agreed on. That's all that mattered.
Walking into school together, they soon spotted some of their friends down the hall. Irene had been talking with Suho, as the two approached them. Jennie had her hand loosely linked in Taeyong's arm, and Irene quickly noticed.
"Oh, my! Are you-" Irene cut herself off, putting the pieces together. Her mouth turned upwards into a smile, as Jennie grinned at her back. "I'm so happy for you!" She gave her a hug. Suho was also quite shocked, but happy to see the two of them together.
"Thanks, Irene. It took a while for it to fall into place, but we got there."
Suho glanced behind them and spotted Jaehyun and Rosé standing by her locker.
"Do they know yet?" Suho questioned, motioning to the couple. The rest of the group turned their attention on them, and saw that they seemed to be having a serious conversation. Their faces weren't showing much emotion, besides confusion on Rosé's face, and what seemed like regret on Jaehyun's. They both mutually seemed upset.
"Yeah, Rosé was at my house last night, and I'm sure she told Jaehyun."
"I wonder what's wrong, they seem really tense," Taeyong commented, concerned for the two of them. The three of them agreed, and left it alone. It would probably come to light later. Not long after, it was time for class, and they went to start the school day.
In Marriage 101, Taeyong and Jennie sat waiting while the rest of the class trailed in slowly before class started.
"I forgot to show you, my friend gave this to me earlier today. Isn't it cute?" Jennie pulled out a black ribbon from her backpack, and showed it to her boyfriend.
"It is, I think it will suit you a lot," he grinned at her. He glanced down at her outfit before looking back up to her eyes. "You should wear it right now, actually."
He then grabbed the back of her chair, and pulled her closer to him. Jennie was caught off guard for a split second, before smiling. She had a light blush on her cheeks as Taeyong took the ribbon from the desk to tie it in her hair.
