I pull myself down to crouch against the wall; there's no way I can risk capture now. Wiping my bloody hands on my clothes, I ignore the stinging sensation developing second by second and stand up once again. By peering round the side of the outbuilding I can see a black four-by-four. I could take that.

Keys. I need keys.

I creep my way around to the vehicle, ensuring I'm not visible to the one security camera on the right. I carefully peek inside. Shocker; no keys.

I sigh from frustration and glance towards the building. I need to get the keys - I don't know how to hot-wire.

My body aches for rest and healing but there's no way I can stop now, not even to bandage myself. Guards are on the prowl and soon they'll be searching the perimeters for escapees.

Returning to my previous position, I spy a small window ever so slightly open - my opportunity. With all my might, I pull myself upwards along the wall, silently kicking the window open far enough for me to fit in before heaving my body inside and onto the floor of the bathrooms.

Thank god I entered via the bathrooms rather than into a main room.

I quietly sneak to the control room, checking around me constantly to ensure I won't be caught. Although I get there quickly, I make sure there are no security cameras that can pick me up, and begin my plan to get the keys.

I'm going to aim for the power unit on the far side of the room, thankfully the back is blocked by a wall going across. On the other side there are two guards sitting at a control panel, facing out of a large window.

I make my move - slowly and cautiously making my way to the unit. Seeing a pen on the side of the desk to my right, I grab it.

In a rush, I slam the pen down the side of the power unit (causing it to shut off) and run to the far edge of the wall. Hearing the unhappy and confused murmur of the guards, I watch as they approach the power unit. Making my way around the side of the wall I run to the front control panel, set my eyes on the keys and grab them before returning to the wall. With perfect timing I sneak back to the toilets and climb out of the window.

So close.

I return to the large black vehicle and unlock it, climbing inside and starting the engine. I can faintly hear the yells of the guards as they attempt to hunt down the intruder. My pulse is heavy in my veins as I press the accelerator and begin my drive; smashing through the outbuilding's barrier and heading as far away as possible.

Seconds turn into minutes. Minutes turn into hours.

Before I know it I'm hundreds of miles away, heading to Eden - the true capital of the world.

I close my eyes, sensing the intense pain coming from each part of my body, before reopening them and focusing on the road once again. Although I'm dizzy, I force myself not to stop driving. You're never safe.

People like me are never safe.

Blood pools on the steering wheel from my torn palms and I wince in pain. It's a minor injury. Still focusing on the road, I remove one hand from the wheel and pull open the passenger glove compartment. Searching around with my bloody hand I find nothing.

My own clothing will have to do.

I pull off one shoe with my other foot and reach down to grab my sock. Forcefully, I wrap the fabric around my right hand, pressuring it to hopefully stop the blood from pouring out. I violently force my foot back inside my shoe, repeating the process for my other hand.

My hopefulness begins to bloom as the city skyline fades into sight.

On either side of the vehicle, wildlife begins to appear. Broad fields of flowers, grass, crops. Nature as I've never seen before. My eyes have never been opened to such rich freedom as this. I almost gasp at the beautiful colour enveloping the land outside of the city. The fresh smell of what can only be described as blossom seeps into the car.

No wonder this place is called Eden.
