2- Hospital

Deku is currently 17 and Bakugo is in 2A. Also, Mineta does not exist in this book.

13 January

Deku POV

I climbed in through my window. I could hear mom downstairs making food. Today's patrol took longer than expected and it was almost 6. 

I got dressed for school. I went to Aldera  High and the kids there were pure evil. After Katsuki Bakugo and his goons left, I was finally free of the bullying. Unfortunately, I still had no friends. No one wanted to be friends with a quirkless nobody like me.

I shook myself out of my train of thought and walked downstairs. It was silent. I didn't hear my mom anywhere.

I walked into the kitchen. My mom lay on the ground, unconscious. I ran up to her, panicked,  and checked for a pulse. It was slow, but she was alive. I let out a sigh of relief.

I quickly dialed the emergency hospital number and carried her outside. What was wrong with her? What happened and how did I not notice? The ambulance arrived, and I quickly got her in it.

I would wait until later to ask questions.

TIme Skip

The doctor walked up to me and informed me about mom's current state...

She had internal bleeding...

They don't know the cause of it, but it was fatal...

She was dying.

I started to cry. I never cried. Not when Bakugo was bullying me. Not when I was beaten up by my classmates. Not when Dad went insane. Not even when I injured myself during my patrols.

Mom was the only person left who cared for me. I couldn't afford to lose her too.

I walked into the room and ran to her. She was in a coma. The doctors said it would last for a few months. I sat there and cried. I should have been a better son. I should have tried to mend our relationship. But now she was dying and I couldn't do anything to help.

After a few hours, I walked up to the doctor.

"How long does she have left?" I asked.

I tried to stay strong for her, but my voice cracked at the end and it was still hoarse from crying.

The doctor looked at me pitifully.

"10 months at most."

I nodded in understanding. The doctor left me with mom. I called Bakugo's mom. Mitsuki Bakugo. She and mom were very close.

Her son, Katsuki, and I used to be close too, but when he found out I was quirkless, he started bullying me. I never told mom about it. I don't think Mitsuki knows either.

I explained the situation to her and I could hear her crying a little over the phone.

That was the day my life changed forever.
