Chapter Nine

It didn't take a long time for the four of you to reach Gold's Gym, the entrance was fairly busy with children roaming around. Akagi separated from the three of you to change clothes and rejoined when he was done at the hallways. His attire was similar to yours, only that his footwear was white while you had black. Terushima and Watanabe followed behind the two of you as you conversed with each other about acrobatic gymnastics and the like.

You pushed open the gymnasium's door and entered, observing the crowd for any signs of the blonde boy that was Akiteru since you wanted to talk to him about something. You found him near a group of people that looked to be his age, talking about whatever came to their minds.

You'd go and approach him later, you concluded.

Tenma could be seen having his own group of companions and he looked to be genuinely enjoying himself, he was fairly short and looked absolutely adorable as he laughed at the exchange of jokes within the group. Only during his second-year did he shine and became the ace of Karasuno High but you were sure every step to his highschool self mattered and you'd be honoured if you were even slightly involved in what morphed him to be the Tiny Giant. You scanned the area for a second time and concluded that Miwa had not yet arrived.

Akagi's fingers wrapped around the edge of your shirt for a moment and you smiled comfortingly at him. Though he was a beam of sunshine for the people who were acquainted with him, he was a kid who also got nervous from time to time. You understood the feeling he was probably experiencing, you had felt it too, you were even feeling it now.

"Don't be nervous, neko-chan! People are here are really nice! I'm sure they'd like to get to know you!"

You assured, prying his hand off of your shirt softly and interlocking your fingers together. You had spotted Tendō due to his flaming red hair awhile ago and decided to head over there while Watanabe and Terushima went to the bleachers to watch over from afar. Akagi glanced at you nervously as you approached Tendō's form, back against you, as he talked to Ushijima quite excitedly, you guessed the conversation was about shōnen jump.

"Whatcha talking about?"

You whispered in Tendō's ears and his reaction was immediate, body tensing for a second before he whipped his head to see who the hell decided to interrupt his  conversation about shōnen jump with Ushijima. His eyes met yours as you grinned sheepishly and he visibly relaxed and was about to playfully lecture you about "respecting your elders" even though you were the same age until he noticed the boy who was gripping your hand for dear life.

His eyes narrowed at your interlocked fingers for awhile before he focused his attention on the actual face of the boy. Black hair, cat-like eyes, hair was parted to the left, and
wealthy— that much was clear from the equipment the boy was wearing. Tendō could barely afford the knee pads he was wearing, he knew how expensive volleyball equipmen was.

"Oya? Who's this, Nakamura-san? Your boyfriend?"

He asked, his brows raised teasingly as he stood up, observing the boy closer. He looked tense, he could tell that much from how much the boy was shaking. You only laughed at his assessment, shaking your head to deny that Akagi was your boyfriend. You didn't hold a single strand of romantic attraction for the boy and neither did you for any of the other boys you met as of that day.

Even if you were physically a 6-year-old, you still felt like a 18-year-old like when you did in your past life. It was hard to be attracted to boys who weren't even half your age, it also felt disgusting to you for some reason. You would usually shrug the feeling off though.

"Nope! This is Akagi, my brother!"

You corrected him and he hummed, placing a finger on his chin as he observed the poor boy for a few more moments before he shrugged his shoulders defeatly, sighing out as he shook his head in seemingly disappoint. You wondered what he was on about now.
