After the incident in Thirty One which had resulted in you meeting Saeko, Tanaka, and Nishinoya, things were rather calm. There weren't many changes in your daily routine even though it was summer— in the weekdays, you often spent the days in Oikawa or Iwaizumi's house either playing volleyball or catching bugs till 4 pm, the time your mother usually arrived. Weekends were reserved for hanging out with Tanaka, Saeko, and Nishinoya; since they lived a little far away from your house you couldn't spend as much time with them as you would want but they didn't seem to mind much.

During some weekends though your family would go to Sunmall Inchibancho and shop for the whole day which would inevitably make your feet hurt but you would endure the pain since your father always rewarded you with volleyball equipment. You already had kneepads, ankle braces, and a pair of Asics Black Gel-Nimbus 22 sneakers. Honestly, you were reluctant to accept all the things he bought you— in all honesty, you didn't think all of them were necessary for you to be able to perform well during the summer camp. You were thankful for the knee pads and ankle braces for extra protection but the footwear's worth was still questionable.

You had already brought up the subject to Oikawa and Iwaizumi, telling them that there was a possibility you wouldn't be able to play with them for a while since you were going to a volleyball summer camp for a whole month and excluding Oikawa's constant whines about wanting to join you, everything was accepted quite well. Iwaizumi was mature and handled the information without any complaints while Oikawa was stuck hugging your waist, crying while saying that he didn't want you to go.

"It's not like I'm gonna die, Tōru-chi!"

You said, your words being followed by light-hearted laughter as your fingers combed through his hair. You had stopped calling him "Kawa-chi" quite recently and started using his first name, thankfully he didn't seem bothered by the sudden change. He had stopped crying by now but remained hugging you, head on your lap while Iwaizumi merely continued to color his drawing of a ladybug, uninterested in what you two were conversing about.

"Iwa-chan, aren't you gonna miss Naka-chan too?"

Oikawa had asked him, bringing Iwaizumi to the conversation. He looked up from his drawing for awhile before he shrugged his shoulders, answering with a calm voice.

"She's gonna be training for volleyball, it's a good opportunity to make friends and to become better."

His response was scarily good for someone his age. He was mature in all aspects of the word and always had to keep the two of you in check despite you being mentally older than him. During volleyball practice between the three of you, he would always be the one to rarely get injured while Oikawa was the one who got injuries the most which made you dote over him; he honestly seemed to like all the attention you were giving him.

"Iwa-kun's so cool and mature. You should be more like him, Tōru-chi!"

You commented making Iwaizumi return to his drawing to try and hide the growing blush that was spreading across his face. You simply laughed at his embarassment resulting from calling him "cool" and "mature" as you continued to play with Oikawa's soft locks.

"Shut up, ama.."

Grumbled Iwaizumi, focused entirely on his drawing as he pressed harder on the red crayon. You didn't take his name-calling to heart and instead just laughed softly.

"Still so mean though"

Observing Oikawa for a moment, you concluded that he had successfully gone to sleep. It did seem strange for him to remain so quiet all this time but alas, the boy had actually gone unconscious. Your hand continued to play with the brunette's hair, staying quiet for awhile before you called for Iwaizumi's name.
