A/n: thank you for 100 followers!!!! I'm literally so giddy!!

Dull and completely void of emotion excluding the confusion and pure surprise that seemed from your brimmed mind, not fully comprehending the words that recently left Rentaro's lips as the plant-loving male explained cheerily the whole situation to you as you had questioned him about the strangeness and complete bizzareness as of why Suna was his brother as "Suna" was a surname, and "Rentaro" was a surname as well. Totally unaware of the distraught that settled on your chest at the thought of not being able to cipher the trouble that made your heart race, the caring male had a soft smile tug at his lips as he began to break down the whole occurrence to you.

Both of them looked identical with dark locks and narrowed eyes and though you had speculated that perhaps Rentaro was somewhat related to the future Inarizaki middle blocker, it had slipped out of yourtrain of thought after a few years had gone by without the young man ever mentioning the existence of having relatives. Though you figured not every person was alike to Akiteru who constantly rambled about his brother to you whilst still in Miyagi though it worried you slightly that Rentaro seemed to not even acknowledge the existence of Suna for the most part as there was hardly anything you could hang on to that made you less taken aback by this troubling yet pleasing situation.

"Suna and I are 13 years apart and when I was six, my dad died. My mom remarried and they had Rintarō! Mom and Aito moved to Tokyo when Rintarō was four years old and I was already finishing off highschool at that point so I decided to stay here in Hyogo for college. I spent my whole life here and Tokyo wasn't a place I wanted to be at."

He began, glancing at his younger brother for a moment with furrowed brows whilst narrowing his eyes further and though you notice the hint of anger and frustration brewing in his being, you don't mention it as he faces away from the boy that mindlessly teaches Akagi how to operate his phone a fair distance away from the two of you. It's not your place to pry, you thought to yourself as you begin to lean back against the cream-coloured wall. In your previous life, you never wanted to be part of something that didn't particularly need your attention, feeling as if you were uneeded and fearful that you'd only make the situation worse and that hadn't changed much though you were trying to lend you assistance more often to those troubled.

"I don't think I've ever been close to him. I think I was too busy at that time and maybe I didn't want to ever spend time with him."

He whispers the last of his words under his breath as he drums his fingers against his covered thigh, dark hues gazing at you fondly though you don't think he's really seeing you— it nearly feels like he's completely erased you from his thoughts as he reminiscents in the unchangeable past, staring at his younger self and chuckling at the dumb and expected decisions the blinded youth made, too focused on what was ahead though never bothering to concern themselves with the journey towards the future. Though maybe all of those had been fabricated, a delusion made by his mind to account for the lost treasures, those thoughts run through your mind at his next words.

"I had an accident though. I don't remember a lot, just things people tell me about that I did before— I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble!"

He wears an apologetic grin as he scratches the back of his neck, trimmed nails lightly scraping his nape as nervous laughter leaves his lips but you merely flash him an understanding smile whilst shaking your head. It was an honour to be told all of this, to get a glimpse of the life he had outside of the knowledge you had, it reminded you that though Haikyuu focused on the lives of the young and teenage boys, their lives outside the sport was left untouched and whatever troubled them outside of volleyball was nearly left untouched.
