Very obviously and without a doubt in anyone's mind who saw him and even interacted with him for less than a minute, it was clear as day that Suna Rintarō was a closed off individual who spoke little and scowled much more frequently than what would be deemed appropriate although some people like his mother and his father had become rather accustomed to his rather peculiar attitude and didn't comment on it any more than what he would be comfortable with.

Nowadays, they rarely even brought it up as it had become a routine to be greeted by a click of his tongue whenever they told him to wake up for school. Don't misunderstand the little boy though, he isn't timid and shy and he, most definitely, would not cower nor stumble whenever someone talked to him or tried to initiate a conversation. It was more in the sense that he disliked being in crowd and interacting with people was uninteresting, never understanding why people tried to socialise so often.

For the narrow-eyed boy, it was the same case for you and your brother and though it still managed to infuriate him a little as the two of you were very bouncy, cheerful, and much too energetic for his liking, there were moments where you proved to be understanding and mature which was most likely why he kept sticking by your side. People who resided in Hyogo didn't know him and didn't associate him with anyone which was something he wanted to maintain so he tended to drift towards you when he had no other things to do.

This had continued even after he had moved back to his home. You didn't expect him to drift apart just because of a little distance but it was more surprising that he had flat-out refused to go home as he laid on your bed, sticking out his tongue at the chuckling Rentaro who didn't really mind if he stayed given all he needed to was make a phone call to his mother and explain the whole situation.

"Won't your mom be mad?"

You had asked Rentaro a few minutes after the whole ordeal, Suna's head on the pillow on your lap as you ran your fingers through his slightly tangled locks, lightly scratching his scalp which was something he appeared to especially like as whenever you would stop, he'd open his eyes and nudge you to continue which you found absolutely adorable though you never really bothered to bring it up.

A fond smile pulled at the corners of the lips of the older male before his shoulders nonchalantly with a careless expression plastered on his face, as if silently saying that he either didn't know or cared too little to even think about it thoroughly but you knew it was more in the terms of "why would she?". Seeing your slightly bewildered expression at his unspoken response, he released a breathy laugh before explaining why he thought so and why he looked intensely confident that his and Suna's mother wouldn't mind at all.

"Rintarō... Doesn't like a lot of people."

He stated with a thoughtful look and you deadpanned at his words, that was a huge understatement on his little brother's attitude. He didn't like a small quantity of people, no, he tolerated them since they were less annoying than others in his perspective and though you were slightly thankful that he had classified you as a person who wouldn't babble on and on about useless topics and thus didn't mind spending limited time with you, you wanted to be liked at the least. Gaze settling on your blank face, Rentaro freezed a little before laughing nervously, continuing to speak whatever he wanted to say and deliver to you as a response to your unspoken query.

"Mom's always worried that he'll grow up to be a loner. So I'm sure she'd be delighted to hear that he's made two friends."

It must be slightly difficult for her, you thought as your mind drifted towards Suna's mother who was probably a little emotional after moving to Hyogo. Rentaro had shared with you that the most prominent reason she had decided to go through with it was to spend more time with the boy who lost his memories which was understandable though you weren't very certain why she decides to do it now, given 6 years had already passed but you shrugged it off.
