Various excited murmurs and soft whispers of thrill left the lips of the members of the volleyball club as they shared delighted glances and pleased smiles, wondering what the interviewers were going to ask them and why your educational institution had been chosen in the first place— did winning the Shōnen tournaments correspond with getting more attention than expected? Given it was still elementary level stuff, you didn't expect to turns the heads of people who were prominent in the sports industry.

Getting an interview wasn't a tiny occurrence, obviously and you were take aback by the news as you gaped at your coach who looked near to sobbing as she clutched her notebook filled with gameplays and records of your performances. Your lips parted slightly and your brows were furrowed as you tried to understand exactly how you had manged to get this opportunity without meaning to achieve it at such a young age.

Noticing your unbelieving reaction, the vice captain of the team grinned widely before swinging an arm over your shoulder as she leaned towards you, placing her weight on your sides as she looked at you gleefully, an excited glint in her eyes as she began to speak as always, loud and with a hint of arrogance though she always excused it as "not being able to control her tone", whatever that meant.

"Taichou, don't worry about it! We won, of course we're gonna be interviewed! We were like bam! And then chikaplow! We were awesome— !"

She begins, using overly dramatic hand gestures that go over the place as she flails her arms around in pure joy that you're nearly envious of her carefree nature, brows furrowed in anticipation before she's interrupted by a chop on the head from one of the middle blockers of your team whose nose was scrunched up considerably, glaring at the wing spiker like she was a stray bug in her food.

"Stop bothering taichou, Haru."

Haru, the exuberant wing spiker, immediately shifted her attention towards the irritated Ai who looked disgusted by the mere existence of the former though you never really bothered to ask them about why they hated each other so much, excusing it since they were siblings. Like always, the two began to fight almost instantly as they exchanged insults and teasing, Haru even bringing up that she'd tell their mother about it while Ai retorted with a "mom likes me more, you idiot!" to which you merely comically sweatdropped at.

The entirety of the team had developed an interesting habbit of calling you "taichou" after you had been assigned as not only the captain but also the ace, reasoning that you were the foundation of the team and held them together so they wouldn't fall apart in disarray and though you had began to tell them to stop calling you that at first, it was a familiar nickname by now and you no longer had any minor qualms about it since you found it rather endearing, in a sense.

Seeing the fight between Haru and Ai unfold with a nostalgic smile, your coach clapped her hands twice to gain the attention of everyone once more as she explained how the whole process for the interview would go and what time the sixth graders needed to arrive given graduating students didn't need to attend the last days of the trimester. (Don't know if this happens in other schools but it happens in mine.)

"So, the interview will be tomorrow. It'll happen after lunch so sixth graders, be here before that. The questions will mostly revolve around the Shōnen tournaments, the preparations and what happened afterwards!"

She explains with a gleeful smile but it doesn't calm the excitement all of your fellow teammates feel, only feeding their interest and even you had began to abandon reading too much between the lines and to just enjoy the moment for what it was as you begin to converse with your peers on their predictions on what questions and queries may be directed at them so they can have the opportunity to prepare.
