A/N: I have decided to just make every chapter 2000 words, more or less so I can work on my other books. Hope you guys don't mind the sudden change in length!

Unfortunately for you and your brother, although the boy didn't seem to actually mind learning martial arts too much, your parents had agreed to allow your grandfather teach you – the reasons were vague and you couldn't completely understand why your grandfather was so passionate about it but it was basically to teach you how to defend yourself, which wasn't all that bad. Dare you say, it was actually quite a good idea to avoid future unwanted situations like sexual abuse and basic aggression by drunk men, or people in general. Of course, your mother was reluctant in agreeing for some reason but eventually gave in once your father mentioned all the benefits. It was strange to see her not want to agree since she usually held your safety in very high regard but you didn't want to pry. You judged it was her thinking that learning martial arts would be a painful experience and that you would hate her for letting you undergo such "torture". But everything took time to get accustomed to, others longer while some were rather easy to familiarize.

It was evident that martial arts took effort and years of constant training thus it belonged to the former category but you really didn't have any arguments about that. It was good to learn a lot of things while you were still young so your body could easily absorb the information. It was critical that you learned a lot of things before you reached the age of ten – the mind and body of a child before it reached ten was alike to a sponge. It processed information quickly and as the muscles and bones were yet to fully develop, things such as flexibility, agility, speed, and strength could be altered a lot during these years.

Of course, genes always mattered and were significant but genes didn't hold any significance if you didn't train your body properly. It would honestly be a waste of opportunities but you didn't want your mind to delve into such complicated genetics subjects since there was no need to strain yourself since there was no clear reason for you to even begin thinking of such topics, so you merely shook your head as a motion to disregard your thoughts and finally returned to reality.

Now that you thought about it, why did you have no say in any of these? The adults in the room were discussing things that you really didn't care about while Akagi was just sitting beside you, eating a piece of chocolate he probably hid in his pockets. You nudged him with your elbow and he flinched in pain for a moment before he turned his head to face you, a curious expression on his face. You gestured to your parents and grandfather with a troubled look, silently asking him if the two of you were going to speak up and offer your opinions on the topic but your brother simply shrugged his shoulders which made you frown. He really didn't care, didn't he?

In the end, you didn't really offer any insight to what they discussed which did make you worried but you decided to shrug off your concern for the most part since you didn't want to overthink anything. Your parents didn't require you and Akagi to do anything which gave you the freedom to do whatever you wanted. You had no clues as of what your brother wanted to do but you guessed he was just going to eat snacks since Watanabe and Terushima had forgotten to bring Sen (if anyone forgot, it's the name you gave to your volleyball) which was basically your only form of entertainment.

Playing with the kunais would be boring with time and you couldn't do any cool stunts with it since it was just made out of rubber, a little disappointing but you didn't dwell in the negative emotion too much since you wanted to stay positive. Without anything to do, you and Akagi decided to just go back to the room where you had previously seen the maids. You were pretty sure they were no longer there but at least you knew where your snacks were located at. Food was ultimately the solution to everything in the end, you thought ridiculously as you slid the door open with Akagi following behind you.
