A/n: y'all like timeskips and long-ass chapters that I wrote on a whim? 'cause you're in for a treat. Also, never knew timeskips were kinda hard to write.

Once you and your family including Terushima and Watanabe had finally returned to Miyagi by train, classes were already just as you had predicted. Though you truly didn't mind it too much since the first week of school weren't really that important and if they did start teaching already, you were very certain that the topics they'd cover in that short span of time wasn't something you weren't familiar with, or something difficult to process without the assistance of a teacher. Despite your point, the only aspect you didn't enjoy to miss out on was your usual banters and antics with Iwaizumi and Oikawa, your best friends and the kids you spent most of your time with.

All of you had returned on a Sunday morning and immediately your parents had insisted on going to shopping malls to pick out some clothes, bags, notebooks, and other items that you'd need for school and though you weren't that motivated to go, your father promising to buy you and Akagi volleyball equipment was more than enough to make you agree. Your shoes, ankle braces and kneepads weren't worn out so you had no plans to buy replacements but you wanted to purchase some clothings with sports in mind since you were going to need them for the training Furoshi-sensei had offered.

EBeanS was a really interesting mall your family frequented at when the things in your shopping list weren't composed of groceries since it had a lot of variety and eye-catching shops. You undoubtedly liked it and so did your brother so when you had seen that your father was taking the road that led to the general direction of EBeanS, you were ecstatic since you wanted to head to the comic store that was located there to see if they had stock for the latest Shōnen jump magazines that you missed while being in Nagano.

The shopping didn't really take much time since you had settled for more minimal notebooks since you didn't want anything too extravagant or decorated, believing you'd end up either ripping the stickers out of sheer boredom or you'd make fun of the designs by drawing mustaches and other exaggerated features that'd make it too messy for your liking. Although Akagi had decided to buy an animal-inspired notebook series which you found extremely adorable that you nearly squealed once he had asked you if his choice was okay.

The next day wasn't as bad as you had expected it to be since your parents had sent a letter to the principal of your school, Kesennuma Shiritsu Elementary School, to inform them why you were absent for the first week and what the details were, your mother had explained that they sent it during the time where they had left you and Akagi in the care of your other grandfather in the mountains of Nagano. You were rather thankful for their thoughtfulness as making your own letter of excuse would be quite tiring though if you were left with no choice, you'd do it.

Now that Akagi was in the 1st grade, you were excited to show him around the school. You would have liked to make him go along with you, Iwaizumi, and Oikawa so you could keep an eye on him and the like but you didn't want to make him dependant on you when it came to friends and connections with other people. Though, you did insist to guide him to the teacher's lounge since you didn't want him to get lost and be late in his first day of elementary school without the help of his teacher. You had knocked on the door before sliding it open gently, stepping inside and finding your own first grade adviser to ask her if she knew who in the staff were attending to first graders.

She had greeted you with a grin and directed you to a familar man. After you had approached his table, he had raised his head from the lesson planner he was writing in and smiled, asking you what your business with him was. At that point, you had figured out that he was the guy that had guided you towards your classroom when you were still unfamiliar with the school layout, the same platinum hair and kind grey eyes -yeah, this was definitely the guy, it was hard to mistaken him for anyone else.
