i shifted my body on the right side as i flexed my arms to feel the presence of someone by my side, but then i had to open my eyes in surprise as i felt nothing but an unoccupied space.

the ray of sunlight coming from the window right in the corner made my eyes squint yet i can see that no one was beside me. i was all alone here in this king size bed.
