In the End, we will remember not the words of the enemies, but the silence of our friends. - Martin Luther King,Jr.
I closed up the curtains and brushed my eyebrows with a finger. The noise was getting loud and unbearable and I couldn't specify if a war was going on downstairs or a huge party was taking place without my presence.
"TRACEY!" I heard Miss Marie yell. Okay, whatever was going on was definitely not a party but a war. It sounded like a little crowd was arguing and about to hit each other.
"How could you?" Another voice followed, it was a male voice and Tracey's dad was not around at the moment. It sounded like-
Harold?
I opened the door and made my way down the long and extensive staircase, slowly as if I was counting my steps.
"Harold?"
Everyone looked at me swiftly, they had similar expressions on their faces. They were obviously surprised. How did Harold come here? What was he looking for and why was he glaring at Tracey like he was going to murder her? What the hell is happening-
"Alyssa. I'm so sorry!" Mia came to me and held my hands.
"I'm so confused" I released my hands and gazed at everyone in the room.
Tracey had a sly smile on her face and said "She probably doesn't know yet"
"Tracey!" Diane yelled "You are a devil. What has gotten into you?"
"Use your words carefully, maid. I can fire you on the spot" Tracey spat. Diane stared at her for approximately five seconds before walking off angrily. Miss Marie simply sat down on a chair and buried her face in her palms.
"Can someone be so kind to tell me what is happening?"
Harold came closer to me, sympathizing with me with his boring green eyes. "Have you opened up your phone today? Have you seen any new video?"
"Her phone has been switched off for days" Tracey retorted.
"Dude! Shut the fuck up! You have no right to say any goddamned thing. You little piece of shit-" He made attempt to go closer to her as if he wanted to punch her violently on her mouth but Mia stopped him in teary eyes.
I ran upstairs as fast as I could and brought my phone out of the drawer that it had been kept in for days. I switched it off so that I'd be unable to receive or see texts from Gillian. I hurriedly went online and indeed I saw the video that got everyone's jaw dropping and so many hateful comments that I have probably never seen in my entire life.
I had just finish throwing up and was still clutching on to my stomach tightly. I heard the door cringe and I saw Tracey enter the bathroom.
"Are you okay,Aly?"
"Yeah. Being pregnant sucks"
" Yeah totally. Especially at a young age."
"I'm not exactly young."
"Anything you say ma'am"
I laughed a little and she did too.
"Want to tell me the father?"
I shook my head,no.
"Come on, I'm sure it's Norman! I saw the way he kissed you."
"Tracey,You misunderstood the situation. He was drunk and he only acted out of-"
Tracey smiled. "You really don't have to explain anything to me,Aly. I don't own him."
