~Luke's backyard pool~

Kayla's POV

"Kayla! Wake up!" I groaned opening my eyes and immediately closing them again. "What Jacob?!?" I yelled back to him getting out of my bed. "Someone's here for you!" He said walking away from my door. I groaned walking down the stairs to find Jack and Jackie in my living room. "Oh um hi guys" I said awkwardly standing in a tank top and plaid pajama pants. "Good your up! Go get dressed were going bathing suit shopping before the barbecue." I nodded and went up stairs to get dressed.

"Okay let's go to Hollister first" Jackie said as we walked into the mall I smiled "yes yes yes! Let's go we only have a short amount of time!" I said dragging them towards Hollister. "Hey Kayla you should get a patterned bathing suit." Jack stated walking over to the bathing suits i I tilted my head in confusion "why patterned?" He turned to me "do you really want to know?" I rolled my eyes and nodded. He sighed "because patterned bathing suit look great on you and for some reason makes you boobs and ass look better..." He smiled cheekily I stood there my mouth agape. "Wow Jack, just wow" Jackie said laughing and pulled me to the small bathing suits.

"So do you remember who the person from the party is yet?" I tensed shaking my head no, her smile fades into a frown. "You'll remember eventually, but until then how about this one" she said holding up holding up a very bright neon green fringe top with matching bottoms. "No way" I stated simply and kept looking. "Oh oh I think this is the one!" I said happily as I pulled it off the rack. Jackie gasped and smiled "it's perfect! I know he'll love it-" once she realized what she said she covered her mouth with her hands. "Who?" She shook her head I groaned. "Fine be that way I'll just ask Jack." "Go ahead because he doesn't know either!" She smiled wickedly. "Ugh whatever, are we ready to leave?" I asked looking at the two I came with they nodded, so we went to check out our bathing suits.

"Hey is it cool if I get ready here?" Jackie asked when we showed up to my house I laughed "even if I say no you still will so of corse!" She smiled proudly. "Jacob were back and we're gonna go get ready" I yelled into the house I heard a faint "okay" from the game room and headed upstairs with Jackie following. "It starts at noon right?" Jackie looked at her phone and shook her head "no 11:30, but I'm not gonna be ready till then so we'll probably show up a little late" "okay! But so you know, if Luke is rude and cocky today I'm leaving." I said seriously "but-" I cut her off. "No, Jackie I still haven't gotten over what he did at the seventh grade pool party." A confused look crossed her face "I wasn't there, I was grounded. What happened?" I rolled my eyes " pretty much I was laying on my pool chair and Luke would not leave me alone. Then when I tried to walk away when Luke threw me into the pool and untied my top!" I said now getting mad at the memory. I looked at Jackie and she had wide eyes "Really?!? Did anyone see your... You know" she said gesturing to her boobs. I shook my head "No thank god! I was holding my top up as I hit the water. She nodded "if you leave I'll leave with you" she smiled sweetly, I thanked her and we continued getting ready.

We're now walking up Luke's driveway and I can hear the music, the people, and the sound of splashing water. I took a deep breath and rang the door bell. As the door opened we were greeted by a very beautiful young woman. "Hey Jackie good to see you! Did Luke invite you too over?" I looked at Jackie confused "we're old family friends" she said shrugging I nodded. "Yah Luke invited us" The lady nodded and let us in. "Oh my god, you must think I'm so rude! Hi I'm Jenna, Luke's sister" she smiled nicely "your fine don't worry, I'm Kayla" I said shaking her hand, as soon as she heard my name her smile grew. "Luke and the rest are outback by the pool, if you need anything feel free to ask me." She smiled sweetly then walked to the kitchen. As we walked outside I saw Christina and Suzan sitting by the pool with their legs hanging in while the boys messed around in the water.

Luke's POV

Me Cody and Derek are in the pool throwing a football around when I heard Suzan say "Well, well, well look who decided to finally show up!" When I turned to see who she was talking about I smiled looking Kayla up and down. "Oh well, you know looking this flawless doesn't happen on its own" Kayla said flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Pshhhhh! She's not that flawless compared to me!" Derek said as he walked up to Kayla and put an arm around her shoulders, and Kayla elbowed him in the ribs and sat her stuff down in a chair. "Luke!" Jackie yelled from behind me "what?" U said turning towards her. She gave me a 'we need to talk' face so I got out of the water and noticed Kayla watching me as I flipped my hair, I decided to mess with her and wink making her blush. I chuckled "what's up?" I said walking with Jackie to the porch where no one was. "You need to tell Kayla" she said getting to the point right away I sighed "how? I can't just walk up to her and say 'hey Kayla I know you don't remember but I was the guy you danced and kissed all night at the party' . She'll think I made it up" she nodded and looked to Kayla then back to me "was there a spark?" "Yeah, for me but I don't know if she felt it" I sighed looking back at Kayla and our friends. "I'll go find out, we'll talk later" before I could protest she was already headed back to Kayla "shit" I cursed under my breath and walked back to the guys.

"C'mon just get in!" I complained to Jackie and Kayla. Kayla laughed and took off her shoes."Finally! That took forever!" The girls laughed at me "Ohhhh kill 'em! Luke wants to see Kayla half naked!" Cody yelled I glared at him and threw the football at his head while his back was to me. "Ouch" he said rubbing his head. "Well who wouldn't?" Derek asked rhetorically looking in the direction of Kayla. When I looked back to Kayla I thought my eyes were gonna pop out of my head! She looked so perfect standing there in mint green bottoms, and a white strapless top with mint green and pink jewels in the middle of the front. "Mr. Wilson! Eyes stay up here!" Kayla said pointing to her face. I smirked "My bad it's just so hard not to look" I said with a little wink at the end. She blushed and covered her stomach with her arms.

"Foods ready!" Jenna yelled from the kitchen. As we all got out of the water Jackie whisper in my ear "She said there were Sparks and she shushes she knew who the person was. So I have a plane." I smiled and listened carefully.
