𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 excited for the ball that was taking place later that day. The Stefan Memorial Ball in Honour of his dad, Stefan Salvatore. Alaric Saltzman and Caroline Forbes created this annual ball to remind everyone the sacrifice Stefan Salvatore made. But to him, it was just a reminder that he lost his dad and that he wasn't with him anymore.

Liam sighs leaning back in his chair as he looks at Alaric and Dorian. They were currently waiting for everyone to enter the hall before he starts with today's announcements. He already knew what it's about.

“All right everyone as you know today is The Stefan Memorial Ball here tonight. Most people in this town knows Stefan Salvatore and his sacrifice while others just know he gifted a heavy sum of money to this town. Anyway, unfortunately today won't be any class—” The vampires and werewolves cheer at that.

“But that does not mean you can stay in your room and slack off for the day. Everyone is going to work on this Ball for tonight. There will be different groups. Some will do the cleaning up of every magic related item or object and moving it to the library and basement. The there will be the groups that will help with the decorating of the hall, kitchen duty and etcetera,” Alaric tells the teenagers. Liam sighs looking over at the others beside him. Today is not going to be fun.

“And each group will have someone monitoring and helping them. Today's monitors are our very own former headmistress, Caroline Forbes and Lara Salvatore. You all may know Caroline as the former headmistress of this school and Lara as the wife of the late Stefan Salvatore and of course Liam's mother.” Alaric says as the two adults walks into the hall. Liam shakes his head as he looks at his mom. Why didn't she tell him any of this?

“Isn't that your mom?” Greg asks from beside Liam. “Yup.”

“Wow dude. Why didn't you tell me you're mom's that hot?” Daniel asks and Liam glares at him. She could have warned him about this before she came here.

“These two ladies will place everyone in their groups,” Alaric says before looking over at the two women. “They're all yours.”

He turns to walk but stop and turns to the students. “Those students who are suppose to have detention this afternoon. It's cancelled.” Greg cheers from beside Liam who looks miserable as hell.

“Okay the clean up crew will be with Lara while the other decorating crew will be with me,” Caroline tells the students before she calls out the names of everyone who will be helping her and Lara.
Liam with his group of friends and half of the vampires a few witches and three werewolves will be helping his mom. He wasn't happy about it but he couldn't exactly complain.

“All right. Let us begin.”

Liam made sure to make it to his mom before she walks off. “Uh, mom.”

“Hey honey,” Lara says a smile on her lips. “What are you doing here?” Liam asks her while glancing over at his friends who are staring at him. “I'm here for the ball honey. I need to help out,” she tells him.

“But why didn't you tell me you were coming?”

“I wanted it to be a surprise and I kind of thought you would know since this is a ball in honour of your father. Of course I would be here,” Lara tells him while frowning.

“Why? Don't you want me here?”

“No, no, no. That's not what I meant. . .It was just a shock because you didn't tell me anything,” Liam mumbles under his breath. “Or is it because you didn't want me to find out about the party and the fight and the detention?”

Liam gapes at the woman before he looks over at Alaric who's talking with Dorian. “He didn't have to tell me anything. Matt Donovan informed me of it.” Liam winces as he looks down at his mom. “I'm sorry I was going to tell you.”

“Were you Liam? Were you really?” She knew him so well. He always uses the excuse when she finds out something he didn't want her to know. “No I wouldn't have.”

“That's what I thought that's why I told Alaric to give you an extra week on top of that month,” Lara tells her son. “Mom!”

“That's your punishment for not telling me, Liam. Now get to work before I add another one on top of that.”

Liam mumbles under his breath, “Stupid Alaric, stupid detention, stupid...”

“What was that?” Lara asks. “Nothing.”

“That's what I thought,” Lara mumbles walking over to Caroline. His day could not get any worse than having his mom here at the school

“Did you really think you all would party without me?”
Liam groans shaking his head. “I stand corrected. I should really keep my damn mouth shut from now on,” he mumbles as the man walks over to him with a huge smile on his face.

“Little nephew! How are you?” Damon asks a smirk on his lips. Liam smiles at his uncle and gives him a hug. “Wow, you look just like your father with just better hair. Lara!”

Liam sighs staring at the two. “Detention sounds so much better than this right now.”

Liam walks over to Greg and Daniel. Penelope and Amara was currently talking to Milton Greasly.
“Isn't this just awesome. The Damon Salvatore, Liam's uncle and Liam's very hot mom is here,” Greg says looking forward  Daniel who's also grinning. “I mean, can this day get any—”

“Don't you dare finish that!” Liam tells him. He didn't want anyone to pop out here out of the blue.

“Better!” Greg smirks looking at Liam.
Liam glares at the boy before pushing him to the side before walking off. Who would have thought that his Thursday morning would be ruined by the people who just love to embarrass him.

He really needs to get out of here.
