𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐌 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐊𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐓 Greg who was trying to be very subtle. It has been a week since that incident in the classroom and luckily everyone has forgot about it. He has been hanging out with Penelope and the guys a lot lately.

He enjoys their company and the fact that they don’t judge people is an extra bonus for him.

They were currently chilling at the Old Mill — which is now their official hangout. Greg had this brilliant idea to sneak into the party held by the Timberwolves. Liam thought it was a ridiculous plan since they screamed out ‘Salvatore Boarding School students’. They would definitely stick out like sore thumbs.

“You do realize that when we sneak out of here Dr Saltzman is going have our heads, right?” Penelope tells Greg who just smirks. “Who cares what he thinks?”

“I do. I don't want to get in trouble again,” Amara says from beside Daniel. “When did I ever get you in trouble, Amara?”

“Uh, a few months ago when we snuck into one of the seniors of MFHS party and we got busted after you punched Connor,” Amara reminds him which just made Liam chuckle. He didn't know this Connor guy but he knew no one liked him.

“That was a few months ago Amara. This is now and we didn't have Liam with us.” The boy’s eyes widen when he hears his name. “What?”

“Yeah.”
Liam shakes his head. “Sorry dude but that ain't happening. I'm not going.”

“Why not?” Daniel asks which surprised Liam. Daniel usually didn't talk to him directly. It was mostly greetings and goodbyes, that's all.
“Uh, because I do not want to get in trouble so early in the year.”

“Come on, dude. What are you so afraid of? Dr Saltzman?”

“No. My mom. She will kill me then bring me back to life just to kill me again. She doesn't play,” Liam says seriously. “Dude, come on. Just this one time.”

“It will be fun, dude.” Liam looks over at the girls before deciding to just give in. It would be nice to get out of the school and just enjoy the night out.
“Great. We will leave tonight. Make sure to meet us at the gate guys,” Greg says. Liam stands up from his seat before following the lot out of the Old Mill.

The lot walks towards the school while they talk about buying drinks for the party. Crashing a Mystic Falls High School party definitely was not the best idea.

When they near the school the boy’s gaze falls on Josie Saltzman who was currently sitting at the lake. He looks over at Penelope to see her still chatting to Greg. He and Josie has not talked in the weeks he has been here but he actually liked the girl. She wasn't like Lizzie.

“I will catch up with you guys, later.”
“Okay.”

Penelope frowns when she watch Liam run over to the lake but she just goes back to her conversation with Greg.

Liam approaches the small jetty. “Hey.” Josie turns her head and she frowns. He was the last person she was expecting to join her at the lake. “Can I sit?”
Josie stares at the boy before nodding. She scoots to the side pulling her legs to her chest.

Liam looks out on to the horizon. This was the first time Josie and Liam were actually alone. “So what are you doing here alone?” he asks trying to make conversation. “Just thinking. This place is the perfect place to just think.”

“Yeah, I come out here a lot too.” Josie sends him a smile before looking back on to the horizon. Liam puffs his lips.

This isn't awkward at all.
