𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐒 𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐒 to her room with tiredness. Maybe she should've gone to sleep earlier instead of going for a run. It would've ended her night better. She stops at the top of the stairs with a frown when she sees Hannah and Riley in front of her room talking to the girl Paige who arrived a few days ago. Why is it always the two of them? And why do they always have to be in front of her room.
The girl rolls her eyes and makes her way to her room, immediately attracting the girls’ attention. Riley smirks when she sees the girl. Hope didn't understand what was going on with the girls. Riley was rejected by Liam, meaning she and Hannah basically both hate him but why don't they just leave him be?
They're worse than Lizzie Saltzman.
“Hope Mikaelson.” Riley steps in front of her, preventing her from entering her room. “What do you want, Riley?”
“I just wanted to inform you about something that our dear Paige went through tonight with your boyfriend, Liam,” Riley says and Hope holds her hand up to the girl's face. “Whatever you're going to say. Save it, I'm not in the mood for your games.”
“Don't you want to know what Liam did.”
Hope exhales loudly before she looks at the two girls. “God, don't you two have a life. You've been tormenting me for the past week about Liam. I mean, I know you both hate him and I guess you have your right, but he's not doing anything to you now. You're both irrelevant to him, so would you quit it and let Liam and I be!” Hope tells the two. They've made her feel bad for liking the boy, but she's tired of holding back. She wants to be happy, so they're not going to step in her way.
The door to her room opens, revealing Liam who is smiling very proudly. His gaze immediately fell on Hope ignoring the other three girls. Hope looks at the girls and Riley rolls her eyes. “You think you're relevant. Check again, Hope. You'll be dumped before you know it.” Riley turns to Liam before she and the other two walks off to their rooms. Hope rolls her eyes, and she walks into her room, past Liam.
Liam closes the door behind him before he walks up behind the girl, wrapping his arms around her.“Are you okay?“
Hope closes her eyes as she exhales, and she nods her head. “Yeah. I just needed to get that off my chest.”
“Well, you definitely did and honestly I don't have words. Have they been bothering you for a while now?” he questions and the girl shakes her head. “Let's forget that.” She steps out of his arms, before taking off her shoes and cardigan and climbing into bed.
“Are you going to stand there all night or will you join me?” the girl asks. Liam smiles, joining the girl in bed. He wraps his arms around her, and she snuggles into his side. “I didn't realize how much I really missed you until now.”
He places a kiss on her forehead, and she sighs. “Will you stay with me tonight?” she asks him. Liam looks at the clock on the nightstand. If he's able to leave at around 6 am tomorrow morning than he will stay. Liam hasn't ever been able to wake up that early even when he was little.
“Sure.”
* * *
Liam walks out of his room the next morning, ready for the day. He'll be attending his first class today after almost a month. He walks through the hallway with a frown as he sees a few students buzzing around. Furthermore, he walks into the common room where Greg and Penelope were seated.
“Hey guys. Do you guys know what's going on?” Liam asks gesturing to the few students in the hallway. Penelope looks at the boy, and she shrugs, “You will never believe what happened.”
“What happened?”
“That guy Landon stole something from the library,” Greg tells the boy. “Everyone's on an uproar since everyone thought he was human, but it seems he can't be compelled which basically means he's—”
“Supernatural,” Liam adds and Greg rolls his eyes, “Or he could have vervain in his system preventing him from getting compelled.”
“But what did he steal anyway?” Liam asks the two.
“Some knife.”
Liam's eyes widen, and he immediately runs from the common room to the library. If it's the knife he brought then he will kill Landon. He runs into the library where Dorian and Alaric are standing. Liam looks over at the glass case. “Where's the knife? Did he steal it?”
“Yeah. I'm sorry Liam, but we'll get it back,” Alaric tells the boy. “You don't understand. That knife is important. How did a fucking human steal the knife without anyone noticing!”
“Language Liam!”
“Dorian, I gave it to you because I trusted that you would be able to keep it safe,” Liam says turning his anger over to Dorian. The knife is what Felix wanted and if Liam doesn't have it then he can basically give up on everything. There's a reason the man wanted it, and he needs to find out that reason.
“Yes. I placed it in that glass case last night because I know no one would come into this room.”
“Liam, it's not his fault,” Alaric tells the Salvatore boy. “Then whose fault is it?”
“It's mine.”
The Mikaelson girl stares over at three with a guilty look on her face. Liam frowns as the girl nears them. “What do you mean?”
“I led him in here last night. But I didn't think he would steal the knife,” Hope tells her boyfriend. The boy looks back over at Dorian. He didn't want to be mad at Hope but if she's the reason he even found the library then it was definitely her fault. The boy exhales and turns to her.
“So, you're the one who brought him in here even though he was supposed to be in the cells in the basement?” Dorian asks the girl. “I didn't let him out, but I didn't think letting him into the library would do any harm.”
“But it did Hope. Now we've lost the knife, and I'm pretty sure that guy is long gone already.” Liam sighs before leaving the library. He should've just kept the knife with him, maybe it would've been safer.
What the hell is he supposed to do now?
