TWENTY TWO

“𝐒𝐨, 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮?”

They're now currently lying on the jetty, looking up at the sky in each other's arms. After making out that left the boy wanting more, they decided to eat their food before they decided to just stare up at the stars that are already out.
Liam looks down at Hope and he raises his brow. “Ask me what?”

“We admitted that we like each other, and we have kissed, a lot. . .” she hints, her cheeks red. Liam smirks down at her, “What are you saying Hope?” he asks her. Hope sighs, burying her face in his chest causing him to chuckle. She mumbles something into his chest, causing vibrations to shoot through his body. “What was that? I didn't quite get it.”

“You're going to make me say it, aren't you?” Hope asks looking up at him. Liam smirks, nodding his head. “Pretty much, love.” Hope rolls her eyes and she looks into his eyes. “What are we now?”

“What are we? Well, you're a girl and I'm a boy. Isn't that obvious. Come on, Hope.”
She nudges him to the side. “Ugh, you're so annoying.”

“Yes, yes I am.” Hope sits up rolling her eyes. Liam chuckles joining her. He knew what she was implying but just seeing her blush made his day. He's the only one who gets to actually see this shy side of her. She's always the badass tribrid, but he's happy she's being herself with him.
“What do you want us to be?” he asks her.

“I don't know. . .” Her last boyfriend betrayed her and well, she didn't know if having Liam as a boyfriend will help since he seems like the kind of guy to play with girl's hearts. But, he planned a special night just for her. He admitted to liking her and over the past few weeks, she has to once seen him with a girl, other than Penelope or Amara. Was he already committed to her before anything even happened between them?

“How about we just be who we want to be? We don't have to have a title at all,” Liam tells her. He doesn't care about the labels of a relationship. As long as she knew, he was committed to her and only her. He didn't need anyone else, except her. “No labels? Are you sure about that?”

“Do you want to put a label on our relationship?”

“Relationship? I didn't know we had one?”

“Oh, you didn't? I recall you kissing me like you were starved. That definitely spelled relationship,” Liam teases and Hope smiles, she nods her head. “Okay. No labels but that doesn't mean—”

“I can go around flirting with every girl I see. You don't have to worry, babe, you're the only girl I see,” he whispers grazing his nose against her shoulder. Hope blushes and she kisses his cheek. “That goes the same to you.” Hope rolls her eyes. As if the guys in the school even noticed her.

“God, I can't wait to tell the others about this” Liam asks in a girly voice. “Don't tell them. Not yet. I don't want the looks from them.”

“Looks? What looks?”

“Like I just screwed their best friend.”

“Well, you haven't, yet. And don't say screw, it doesn't belong on your lips,” Liam says dragging his finger over her lips. She looks at him, butterflies appearing in her stomach. Just like the first time he touched her skin. Hope leans over crashing her lips on to his. His hand moves into her hair, and he deepens the kiss, their lips molding into a passionate kiss.
His tongue slides over her bottom lip, as he pulls her into him.

“I am loving this shy, but confident Hope. You take control while still blushing,” he mumbles against her lips, out of breath. Hope pushes him off her and she chuckles. “You do realize that we have to leave right. It's already late.”

“Yeah but let's stay here for a few minutes. I want to enjoy my time with you before I go back to reality where I get bombarded with a million questions,” Liam admits softly. Penelope is probably waiting for him to inform her about all the details. She's been the only one who's actually been encouraging him to date Hope from the very beginning, and she might be proud that it actually happened after she prayed for it, for so long.

“You know at first I never liked Penelope or Amara.”

“Huh? Why not?”

Hope sighs and the two lie back down on the jetty in each other's arms. “Well, Penelope has always been a bitch to me but I guess that's her nature. Amara, on the other hand, only started hating me after Roman. He was her boyfriend, and she blames me for stealing him from her.”

“Well, did you?”

Hope shrugs, “Kinda. I don't know. Roman and I didn't actually date. We only kissed like a few times and it would have maybe blossomed into something if he hadn't betrayed me. I ask myself to this day why I let him do it,” she whispers to herself. Liam didn't know Roman, and he is glad he never met the guy or else Roman would have already died five times at his hands.

“I don't know what happened but I do know none of what happened was your fault. And I'm actually glad I never met the guy. He sounds like a prick.”
Hope chuckles, staring up at the stars. “He was but he changed. And I was somehow able to forgive him for my mom's sake.”

Liam pulls her body further into his side. “Wow, that's big of you.” If he was in her position, he would never be able to forgive him. His mom was everything to him, losing her meant he would literally lose his mind. “But you know if you get to know Amara, you'll realize she's an amazing girl.”

“Yeah but I think it's best if I stay far away from her for a while.”

“Why?”

“Did you see how she tackled Hannah in the hallway? She was fierce and a bit scary.”

“Well, you're The Badass Hope Mikaelson. You don't have to be afraid of anyone. They should be afraid of you,” he whispers wiggling his brows. Hope chuckles, “Are you afraid of me?”

“Oh yeah. You could kick my ass and still look hot doing it.”
Hope smiles up at him. Liam sighs in content, staring up at the stars. The candle behind them has already gone out due to the wind but none of them cared. They just wanted to stare at the stars, in each other's arms.

three chapters in one day. I am certainly on a role here. Give me your thoughts on the three chapters. It's not my best but I like how it turned out.
also the story will soon be following legacies' storyline. just a couple of chapters before liam meets landon.
