Izuku Midoriya
"Midoriya, we're here," Todoroki informs me, unraveling my realm of thoughts like threads of string.
Flinching, I jump off of Todoroki's lap and onto the lucid floor that is no longer being trampled by a massive pack of shoes. "S-Sorry! Umm, and I was also w-wondering if you wanted to go to the mall afterwards." We begin walking towards the hospital, and as desperately as I want to feel Todoroki's hand in mine, I restrain myself.
Todoroki doesn't smile, but his gaze softens. "It would be my pleasure," he replies, as formal as ever. "Will you smile for me?" Without even half of a second of dithering, I look up to the tall, charmingly husky young man known as Shoto Todoroki with an open smile on my face. "I will din that smile of yours into my memories."
Oh. My. Gosh. He's so sweet... "Your smile is just precious, Sh—Todoroki. Other people m-might think it looks funny, but I think that it's perfect just the way it is. It's so sweet, so cute, and it looks so soft. I-It's beautiful. Every time I see it, it just makes me happy!"
Well that came out better than expected. I didn't think I'd actually be able to say all of that. Gosh, did that sound weird? I probably s-said that in such a weird way. I hope I didn't just make a fool out of myself in front of him.
"What a sweetheart you are," he chuckles earth-shatteringly out of character whilst in public. In fact, mere weeks ago, hearing Todoroki say these words in such a silky tone would have convinced me that he was suffering from some kind of mental disease or disorder. "You needn't hold me to such a high caliber at times."
Well, maybe I do know how rumors were spread, I think with a cheesy grin on my face. It doesn't really matter, though. As long as Shoto is happy, then so am I! Well, I honestly don't know if his happiness is feigned or genuine, but I'm hoping he's not putting on an act for me. He's such an enigmatic person who hates talking about himself. Despite that, I love him. I never pictured myself falling head over heels for anyone, and no less a guy that's the son of one of the greatest heroes! I always thought I liked girls... I mean, as kids, Kacchan always made me feel a bit differently, but still. I-It's not my fault Shoto's naturally attractive! Beneath the fierce aura he exudes, he's unbelievably sweet. Even if this relationship wasn't made to last, it's an honor to be the significant other of someone like him.
In roughly seven minutes, we arrive at the hospital and check in with the receptionist before heading up to the floor that Bakugou's room is on. We casually stroll down the long hallway of seemingly endless doors until we reach the door with the correct room number we were given. Now at the door, I lightly knock a few times and anticipate to hear Kacchan roar from the other side of the door.
"Come in, mouse knocker!" Kacchan yells, although it isn't like I anticipated him roaring from the other side of the door or anything.
Opening up the door and letting Todoroki in before me, I start to wonder how Kacchan will react to Todoroki appearing before him. Todoroki gingerly approaches Kacchan, who I'm unable to see from the wall obscuring my view.
"Oi. Look who decided to show up," Kacchan scoffs, his low voice a hissing, spitting growl. "Knock louder, for—"
I anxiously creep through the room and up to Kacchan, who's sitting upright in bed with his body still bound by bandages. "I-I was the one who knocked. S-Sorry!" I apologize earnestly, tucking my head back reflexively. "Umm, s-so I brought Todoroki with me—"
"Just call him how you normally do, dammit. We went over this, Deku!"
"G-Got it! Anyway, I thought that you and Shoto could talk about your communication issue. I was going to text you back, I-I swear, but I was already thinking about visiting you, so I brought Shoto with me. Am I talking too much? I'm sorry!" Although I've typically been abundantly generous with my apologies to Kacchan than anyone else, it's grown into more of a habit that I can't seem to break. It's like a roach—I'll think that I got rid of it after throwing it out, but it returns like a boomerang.
