26TH Desire – TEARS

Lately I’ve been waking up to the dull environment and the scent of hospitals, isama mo pa ang stabbing pain that I keep on having when waking up to this place. I hate it, pero nawawala na ung sakit once nakikita ko na si Dylan na nasa tabi ko at binabantayan ako habang natutulog ako.

Sobrang tagal ko na sa ospital and it’s starting to feel so sickening. Even though nakikita ko si Elrine everyday kasi sya ang attending physician ko. Pero I want to go home I’ve been here for almost a week, ang dami ng nangyari, umalis na si Valeri pabalik sa US to get more help she needs and support. Nabalitaan ko din na sumunod na si Madam sa kanya at ipinapaubaya na nya sa akin ang pamamahala ng magazine. It’s a great privilege pero ang laking responsibility ang ipinapatong nya sa akin. Pero I will never fail her. Once I recover from this place.

Today, I was awakened by his soft voice singing a melodramatic song. He was holding his guitar and playing the song as he was so lost in his own music. His eyes were closed and humming some unknown words as he was strumming his guitar.

He may love me but I know he has his own love when it comes to music and to the music he produces and write about. And I want to support the thing he loves most, beside myself of course.

Pinipilit kong hindi sya hawakan, ayoko maputol ang moment nyang ito. I just smiled and listen to his music. Then suddenly napatingin sya, tapos tinigil nya pagkanta nya at agad nya akong ittend sana sa needs ko pero I hold him up, raising my palm at him making him stop to his seat, “Did I wake you?” he asked worried.

“You may have woken me however it was the best awakening I ever had.” I assured him. “It made me happy to hear you sing to me. Parang may private live session ako with you.” I smiled at him genuinely.

He lean into me and smacked a kiss on my lips. “I love you and thank you.” Sabi nya sabay balik sa pagkakaupo nya.

“Thank you? For what?” Tanong ko.

“You sacrificed most of your strength to save me from Valerie. Alam mo na she was determined to kill me. Hindi na kita napasalamatan sa pangyayaring un.” Sabi nya na parang broken pa sya kasi di nya agad nasabi ang mga words na un.

“It’s alright. Mahal na mahal kita.” Sabi ko sa kanya.

“Pero sana wag mo na uulitin ang ganung mga bagay. You made me worry too much. Parang every time you go, may mangyayari sayong masama. Mapalingat lamang ako sayo, pakiramdam ko mawawala ka na sa akin forever.” Ang mga mata nya ay parang nagmamakaawa at parang sinasabi sa aking mahal na mahal nya ako.

“Pero I’m alright now.” I subjected to him. Kaso sumakit ang tagiliran ko bigla nung nagsalita ako, napressure siguro that made me wince.
