-Beacon.-

Godzilla was wandering the halls of Beacon, a small habit of his that he acquired after the Battle of Vale.

The small hours of early morning were oddly relaxing to him. Maybe it was the quiet, or maybe not, he didn't know.

But when he stepped out into the courtyard, he noticed how the sun wasn't it's normal orange hew.

It was a Red Sun, an omen of spilled blood. Godzilla was too old now to start believing in omens, but he learned long ago not to brush the warning aside.

Something happened last night, and the Kaiju was going to ask their new guest what she knew.

It was up to her if Godzilla was going to need to be... forceful.

-The Emerald Forest.-

Ruby ran, she ran for her life as if the Crawler was still after her. Fear and adrenaline were the only two things keeping her going, and the thing she feared was all too real.

When the Grimm Hybrid sniffed her, the gasoline she doused herself with was her only saving grace, since it made her smell unappetizing.

She continued running, even as the adrenaline began to wear off and exhaustion started creeping in.

Only when she reached the edge of the forest, did she finally collapse from exhaustion, but her dreams would offer her no comfort.

Godzilla entered the infirmary and spotted Salem reading something. "The fate of your world hangs in the balance, and you're reading a book?" He asked.

Salem looked at Godzilla and sighed. "I needed something to read, as I'm bedridden at the moment." She replied haughtily. Godzilla narrowed his eyes at the fallen immortal.

"I'll skip the pleasantries then. What's Ghidorah's plan?" He asked. Salem smirked at the Kaiju. "A god needs her rest, Your Majesty. Not that it matters, my strength will return, and I'll put that beast down myself." She replied.

Godzilla then grabbed Salem by the wrist and tore her from the bed she was on. "Let me be clear, 'Goddess' I've killed immortals like you before. Don't think for a second I can't kill you too. Do you understand?" Godzilla growled.

Salem, in a moment of stunned fear nodded meekly, which caused Godzilla to let her go. "Now, what's his plan?" He repeated.

"I don't know." Salem answered. "All I know is his current goal. Finding a way to make his transformation permanent."

Godzilla looked surprised for a few moments, he hadn't considered this. Without a word, he turned on his heels and left the infirmary.

If Ghidorah found a way to transform permanently, then Remnant's day were numbered.

(This is my fault.) He thought. (This world should never have met us Kaiju, yet for my part in bringing our war to this world... It seems I'm duty bound to defend it as if it were Earth itself.)

Ruby awoke with a start, nightmares ran through her mind as she stood up and headed to Vale.

Her encounter with the Crawler would have long term psychological effects on her, but she hoped it would pass with time.

But one doesn't recover easily from mental trauma.

As Ruby entered Vale, her team rushed to check on her, and then promptly held their noses since she smelled like gasoline.

Blake noted an absence of a loud and obnoxious Monkey Faunus, which was strange.

"What happened to Sun and Cardin?" She asked. Ruby's face froze as she remembered Sun's horrible, gruesome end. "They're... dead." She said shakily.

Blake, Yang and Weiss stood rooted, completely shocked at the news.

"A m-monster killed them, tore them apart, ate them alive. I w-was the only o-one who s-survived." Ruby continued. "Cardin... decided that we c-could keep it busy, while he escaped."

Yang clenched her fists, infuriated at Cardin for bailing like that on her little sister. "Cardin, you c*nt! There's a special place in Hell for cowards like him." She growled. "Come on Rubes, let's get you cleaned up. I'll asked G if you can get some time to rest."

Team RWBY made their way back to Beacon, with Ruby being supported by Yang and Weiss.
