"Does Dark know about this?" Tito Vincent asked. I gulped and slowly shook my head.

"I'll find time to talk to him, Tito. Bibisita pa rin naman ako sa firm bago umalis."

"But why do you need to involve this project?" Tito Vincent shook his head in disappointment. "Where's the professionalism in you?"

I cleared my throat, nervous with his tone. "I'm really sorry, Tito. I will pay for the breach of contract. I just can't do the project anymore. I'm really sorry."

He looked up and met my eyes, "May nangyari ba inyo ng anak ko?"

My eyes widened with his straightforward question.

I faked a smile, "We're good, Sir. Wala pong nangyar—"

"My wife told me that she saw our son crying yesterday," he said in a low voice. My lips slightly parted but I just nodded again. I didn't expect Dark crying... again.

"Noong huli ko siyang nakita na nagkaganoon e' noong umurong ka sa kasal."

I looked away with his accusation.

"Your son will surely find another woman to marry soon," I casually said. I stood up and breathe heavily. "I couldn't see myself marrying him, Sir. In fact, I'm already engaged."

"Engaged?" he frowned in disbelief.

I looked at him and slowly nodded. I think it's time to reveal that I never got to chase my freedom.

The idea of getting engaged again wasn't part of my plan. I'll call myself free... but my father is still my father after all.

He will keep on burying me to the depth of life.

He needed more blueprints... so I should be his bait. How cruel it is to see myself getting cage even though, I now have the power to unlock my own prison.

But me, being the daughter of guiltiness... iniisip ko pa lang ang kasalanan ko sa pagkamatay ni Mommy, umaatras na agad ako.

Umaayaw na agad ako.

I forced a smile, "I'm engaged again, Sir... with a business partner."

"Does Dark know about that?" he then asked in a low tone.

I shook my head. "Not yet."

"My son deserves to know it, Ms. Levister."

He indeed deserves to know it... but I still can't bring myself stating that I'm going to walk at the aisle, with him just a visitor and not my groom.

"I will, Sir," I half smiled, "But he should be okay with it. His opinion doesn't matter." Sir Vincent didn't expect that coming but I chose to continue.

"I'm really sorry for the inconveniences and trouble that I caused. Rest assured that you're in good hands with Architect Ava. It has been a good journey working with you in the short period of time." I offered my hand so he stood up.

"I hope you're happy, Architect," he sadly smiled.

I hope too.

Hours passed after my conversation with Sir Vincent.
