Lets get this honour stuff that people keep talking about

Once Aang and I were in my car, I let go of him. Leaning my head on the dashboard, I let out a long sigh.

'Here's what's happening aang. After tutoring you late so many times, I keep falling asleep in class. Which would be fine if that didn't mean I miss work and get kicked off the honour roll. So yeah, actually, there's no way it could be fine.'

Aang looked at me sympathetically. Agni, can't this kid just be more annoying? Then I could maybe justify being mean to him a bit more. I realised he was talking, so I tried to concentrate.

'Why don't you just... do some extra credit or something?' He was saying.
'Well, of course I've thought of that, but do you think I actually have time? My dad makes me tutor you so much because he thinks a fire lord needs to be a 'good teacher' or whatever, and now I barely have any time for other things.' Other things mainly being sleeping, but yeah, studying too.

'Well, I guess I could just get another tutor.' Before I could tell him that was a terrible idea, did he not hear what I said about my dad? He kept talking. 'I mean, you could say to your dad that I've finished my assignments and basically got everything down so I don't need a tutor, but I could just hire another one since, between you and me, algebra still looks like random letters and numbers.'

I thought for a minute. Not too bad, actually. Although, if my dad found out, he'd burn me alive. Maybe I could get him to burn the other eye, get the full set.
'Ok, ok, I'll think about it. You can get out of my car now. Mai is coming, and I don't want you as a third wheel.'

He laughed and jumped out of the car, light on his feet as always. Grinning, he called 'Bye Zuko!'

I sat in my car for what felt like 3 hours, but according the clock was only 3 minutes, when 2 taps on the window brought me back to reality.

'Uh, zuko?' Aang said, his voice muffled through the window. 'Mai told me that she's going back with Ty lee and Azula, so you don't have to pick her up. So.' He finished his sentence awkwardly, then wiped his nose on his sleeve. 'Erm. I guess I'll go then?' He walked away whistling as he stepped.

'Well.' I muttered to myself. Now I wasn't going to hang out with Mai or tutor Aang, I didn't really know what to do. I know I said I would sleep or do schoolwork, but that seems really boring.

After a few seconds contemplating it, I decided to just do the work. Get my honour back. Muahahaha. Oh, sorry don't know what that was. Just a funny cough, or something. Putting my car into reverse, I back out of the parking lot and drove home. I let out what had to be my 700th sigh that day, wondering how my dad would react when he found out I had lost my honour. My honour roll. My spot on the honour roll.
