Tysm for 200 views! It's gone up about 100 in the last few days, that so crazy! And we are #6 for the tag 'wut' again!

School next day was a whirlwind of anxiety. I saw Katara once- she smiled at me, I froze and dropped my book. Smooth.

Last period couldn't finish fast enough, and when it finally did, I zoomed out. Back to my locker, into my car, onto the palace grounds. Through the doors, into my room. Azula had scheduled our tutoring lesson for 30 minutes after school finished (she had been "sick" that day, and was at home) leaving me barely any time to get ready. I changed into more comfortable clothes than practically sprinted to her office.

She was sitting crossed legged on her desk. 'I was about to cancel. Where were you?'

I glanced over at the clock. 'I'm 30 seconds late. Don't be so dramatic.' She smirked and shook her head.
'As much as I would love to stop, I can't. So, are we going to do this thing or what?'

I walked over and sat on one of the two extra chairs. 'So, I have some assignments and one test. The test is on chemistry, and we-'
I stopped abruptly when she covered my mouth with her hand. 'Hush. I know what you have. In case you forgot, I'm doing work mainly at your level. So I know what tests you have on what, and what assignments. There's actually two tests.'

I slapped her hand away from my face and glared at her. 'I think I would know if there's two tests! There's just the chemistry one, and- oh crap. History. Right.'

She laughed. 'And that's why we don't sleep in class. Now, what can you tell me about history of the fire nation?'

She had me do practice tests for both chemistry and history for over an hour (burning my arm slightly whenever I got a question wrong) then we worked on my assignments. She definitely didn't have the skills with teaching that Katara had, but she did the job. Within a week, my assignments were done, and I was confident for my tests.

Both my tests were in the same day. I went to school feeling happy with my knowledge of the subjects, but scared none the less. I managed to fully finish both in the hour of time we were given for each one, and I went to lunch feeling fairly happy with my self. I saw Katara over in the canteen line and a plan formed in my head. It was a bad, risky plan, but a plan.

I walked over to her. 'Hey, Katara! I haven't seen you in a while.'
She smiled her wide, amazing smile and replied 'I'm sorry about ending our tutoring lessons, but I take it you've been studying? You looked happy coming out of class. Not that I was watching or anything.'

I laughed and mustered up the courage to ask her. 'So, I was wondering if you'd like to go to get tea tomorrow afternoon? There's a nice tea place in the city that I've been to a few times.'

She thought for a moment. 'I think that sounds nice. I should be free, but I'll make sure and text you when I know.'
I nodded. 'Okay, cool. See you then, hopefully.' I walked away, trying to contain my happiness until I left the canteen. When I was out I turned and pumped my fist, then quickly regained my posture. Dignified, proud....

My plan was simple. If I failed my tests, didn't make it back on the honour roll, then I would simple have tea with Katara, as.... friends. If I passed, made my way back on the honour roll, I would ask her out over a cup of her now-favourite jasmine tea. She couldn't say no if I had my honour.

I went home that day hopeful. I got my results back for my assignments and tests tomorrow in home room, and they would determine whether the honour roll would hold my name again. When I first made it into the honour roll, the year coordinator send me a note congratulating me, so I was desperate for another of those notes tomorrow.

Katara texted at 5 saying she was free to get tea tomorrow, so we decided I would pick her up and drive her to the place. Now just to get back my honour.

It was the first night in a while I slept without interruptions, and I was grateful for that. If I was more awake tomorrow , maybe I could hide my devastation better if I failed....

No. No. Don't think like that. Success. Happiness. Honour.

Home room was stressful. I saw my classmates look down when they got their grades back- it seemed almost half the class had failed. The moment arrived when the grades were handed to me, and my heart stopped for a moment, I looked down at them. One B! A lot of C's.... and 2 D's. I would most likely pass, but no honour roll.

'Zuko.' I looked up to see my teacher standing above me with a note. 'This is for you.' I nodded slowly and took it from him. Opening it, I only saw the first line.

Zuko, I would like to congratulate you on your spot on this years honour roll.

My heart beat furiously. What had happened?

Woah, what's happening? Guess you'll have to read the next chapter to find out! The next chapter is probably also the last, so stay tuned!
