Here comes weekend.

Iniisip ko pa din hanggang ngayon ang kiss na nangyari kahapon. Matapos kong maligo ay napatulala ako sa salamin sa banyo.

I felt Bhryle's warm lips. But it was so soft, and I remembered it again that is why I am blushing.

I sighed.

There was a knock sa door nang bedroom ko.

"Amelie?" Dinig ko.

"Yes?" Binuksan ko ang pinto ko.

Nagulat ako nang makakita ako ng lalaki na nakaporma. Formal na formal ang suot. He even has sunglasses on. He looks more like a security guard.

"Amelie, we need to talk." Sabi ni Andre.

Napatingin ako sa lalaking nakatayo lang sa may pintuan ko.

"It's Enver Callister." Sabi niya. "He is good at fighting."

I crossed my arms.

"Wait— is this because of the security system that I told you about?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Well, yes. After what you've said to me last night and also what happened last night. I won't be taking any more risk." Sabi niya. Very calm pero worries inside. Ganyan naman si Dad. Mana nga talaga si Andre kay Dad.

I nodded.

"But it's not like he is gonna follow me sa work right?" Sabi ko. "I mean, it would scare my fellow nurse—"

"Amelie, forget about what other people might say or feel. This isn't a show." Sabi ni Andre and I feel taken aback. Kaagad siyang nag-signal kay Enver— my personal bodyguard na umalis muna.

Enver immediately bowed and left.

Wow, this is really really getting interesting.

I feel so much like a VIP.

"This is because of the shareholder's meeting. Some shareholder members want to drag me down." Sabi niya. "To evict me at least is what their other option. Gagawin nila lahat para masira tayo. And I don't know kung anong plan nila. Might as well I am avoiding the blackmail part. I don't want you to be involved nor Mom or Dad. I'm so sorry." Sabi niya.

I hugged him.

"Wow, you are really really growing up." Sabi ko. "Don't mind about the bodyguard stuff, I take back what I said about the fellow nurse. They'll understand me— for a security measure."

I felt my little brother sighed.

Umalis ako sa yakap at nag-pat sa shoulder niya.

"Ikaw. Ikaw ang dapat na mag-iingat ha. I hope walang mangyayaring masama sa inyung dalawa ni Dad. And sa Company." Sabi ko.

He smiled. "Don't worry, Amelie. We already started our investigations."

I smiled, "Wow. Ang scary talaga basta politics ano. Anytime. Anywhere."

He nodded. "That's why I like it. Boring kasi kapag Nurse lang."

Napatawa ako ng mala-sarcastic.

"Pasalamat ka at may mga front liners na tulad ko. Don't underestimate me, little one." Sabi ko.

"Whatever. Still, You smell like blood." He said and waved his farewell at me.

"And you smell like gas," I replied.

I sighed.

Nang makaalis na si Andre ay napansin kong nakapalibot pala talaga sa bahay ang mga guards. They're meters away from me. Except for Enver.

Nagpunta ako ng kusina to eat my breakfast at last.

But Enver bothers me.

Naninibago lang.

Na may nakatingin.

May nanunuod na kumakain ka.

Tapos parang palaging chini-check kung safe ba ako o hindi. Damn.

If only Enver was Bhryle. Ang swerte swerte ko na ata.

I was eating banana shake and bread. Since diet ako. Napatingin naman ako kay Enver na naka-sunglass. Ang seryoso ng mukha. His bangs suit him. He's more like— Bhryle's thing.

Parehas kasi sila mg buhok.

May bangs.

"Is there something wrong, Maam?"

"Hmm?"

I gulped.

"Ah no." Shit. Napansin niya atang nakangiti ako at nakatingin sa kanya. Baka isipin niya na may iniisip ako na related sa kanya.

Bigla siyang umalis sa harapan ko nang hindi nagsasalita.

O?

Baka napansin niya kaagad na nabobother ako na may nanunuod sa akin habang kumakain? Okay, quick-witted.

Matapos kong kumain ay may umabot sa akin ng tubig.

Napatingin ako.

Napa-hiccuped ako.

Kaagad kong kinuha mula sa kanya ang glass of water. Bakit parang palaging nasasaktan ang mukha ni Enver? Curious tuloy ako. Paran ayaw na ayaw niya sa mundo. Napansin ko na kasi ang mata niya nang nasa malapit na siya sa akin.

"How did you know na mag-hiccup ako?" I asked in amusement.

He took one step backward.

And stood there without looking at me.

"Guts."

Oh? Guts.
