Maya-maya ay dumating na si Doctor James.
Bigla akong kinabahan kasi natatakot ako na baka magugulat siya kung bakit ang tagal ko dito sa office. Sobrang questionable na ang tagal ko dito.
Bhryle stood up from the table.
"I think sobrang prone to accident ka talaga Bhryle. You are goddamn lucky to have Amelie as your go-to nurse and a friend." Doctor said while taking off his white coat.
I smiled.
"Excuse me."
"Wait." Doctor James said.
Nagkatinginan kami ni Bhryle.
"Umupo muna kayong dalawa." Sabi ni Doc.
"Can't I am busy?" Sabi ni Bhryle.
"We both know you don't have a job, son." Napatingin ako kay Bhryle na napairap ng mata sa ama niya. Napangiti ako.
Pero napatingin kaagad ako kay Doctor James.
"Anyway, earlier I haven't open up the topic yet since nagmamadali ako but I gotta ask, not because I doubted the former CEO of SAN Company, but because I just really don't understand kung bakit itinago niyo pa sa akin na you both are in a relationship."
Malawak ang pagkakangiti ko matapos kong marinig ang mga katagang iyon kay Doctor James.

"I hate explaining."
Nagkatiginan kami ni Doctor.
"Nurse Sandross?" Doc asked.
No.
"Yes, Doc?"
"Why didn't you tell me? Akala ko kakakilala niyo pa lang. Engagement at the very earliest moment." Doctor said. "Just curious but congrats sa inyung dalawa." Ngiting abot langit si Doctor James sa akin at kay Bhryle.
"I apologize for not telling you so soon, Doc."
"Dad, Amelie, and I are still planning about it. No need to worry about it."
Ngiting-ngiti pa din si Doctor.
"I am so proud of you, Bhryle."
"And to you, Amelie." He continued.
Yung feeling na akala na nang lahat na engage kayo when we just got together an hour ago. Hindi naman siya awkward.
Napatawa ako deep inside.
"Well, your father told me about it. And nagulat ako syempre, kasi I am often here with you both. I just can't believe na nagmahal na pala ulit si Steven." Sabi ng Dad niya.
Cute.
"Okay, enough about this." Sabi ni Bhryle at saka niya ako inakbayan.
In front of his father pa talaga.
Napangiti nalang talaga ako ng bahagya.
"Off you go." I heard Doctor said when Bhryle successfully dragged me out of the office.
Naglalakad kami palabas ng Hospital.
I saw Enver eyeing us.
I nodded.
He nodded.
And I am also grateful that Enver was so honest and still keeping it professional. Glad to have him as my friend, too.
