Chapter 14: Espada

Hours later:

After picking our stuff up from Kindely's place, well, I guess steal would be the word to describe what we did. Espada was able to make a key blade by pressing her hand on the door and we walked right on in. The fact that she did it so casually was a bit bothersome. We wandered the streets till we arrived at another rundown building. I'm starting to wonder if all hero agencies are in the same poorly kept condition as these places. Walking through the front door, we were greeted by some clanging sounds along with some chatting from within. Pausing at the door, we found three young boys racing towards us. None shared the same features, the first and probably oldest was tanned with white hair and white eyes, he had strings in between his fingers like they were webbings. The second was a pale looking boy with black eyes and spider appendages coming from his back. The last was still very young with small spikes poking from his shoulders. Following them was a tall woman, she had short black hair, thin rimmed glasses, wearing a puffy black shirt and long blue pants. The boys all ran up to Espada each one trying to give her a large hug but she dodged each one and wandered by them into the house. After they missed Espada, they noticed us standing at the entrance.

Rin: Age: 19, Eyes: White, Hair: Short Black, Height: 5'7, Weight: 167, Bust: D-cups

Rin: "Welcome back miss! Looks like you brought those adorable students back with you, I knew you liked them but to think you'd steal them from Kindely on top of that."

Surprised by what she said, we stared at Espada's back though she didn't respond in the least to her words. The boys then darted back to her each one chalk full of energy as they popped up on their heels. From the looks of them, they must be at least seven years or younger.

Kevin: Age: 7, Eyes: White, Hair: Short white, Height: 4'4, Weight: 80

Kevin: "Auntie your back! Tell us a story!"

Derek: Age: 5, Eyes: Black, Hair: Short Black, Height: 4'2, Weight: 78

Derek: "Who are those girls? Where have you been?"

Len: Age: 3, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Dark Brown, Height: 3'10, Weight: 69

Len: "Aunt Espada! Aunt Espada!"

The kids were reaching and trying to pull and yank on Espada's arms but with a violent whip of the wrist, she glared at the boys. Her jacket was buzzing like she had a beehive hidden somewhere within and her diamond blade hanging off her back hovered over her head like a demonic stinger.

Espada: "Shut up you little brats! Why aren't you asleep yet!?"

Shifting her glare over to the young woman, she was growling under her breath as the woman simply grinned lightly while gathering the boys from her.

Rin: "Now come on little ones, it's way past your bedtimes."

The boys complained and pleaded to play some more but the woman simply dragged them deeper into the building. We were all stunned by the children in the house. Who were they and who was that woman? Though there was one apparent answer that seemed to make some sense.

Mina: "Was that your daughter?"

Espada didn't really answer instead, she grumbled under her breath and gestured to us to follow. Passing by a noisy room (money says that's the boy's room) we were guided into another room just across the way. She ushered us into a room that was a bit messy, not much inside but a single drawer and a large closet.

Espada: "You'll be staying in here for the time being. Make yourselves comfortable and don't let the rats bite you too hard."

Diane & Lexi: "Rats?!"
