Chapter 23.5: Family Day Shorts

7 AM Family Day: Mina's POV

Haa~ Today's the day huh? I couldn't help but sigh heavily as I got out of my bed. My hair was fixed already, a strange side effect of my Quirk. For some reason, most of my morning routines have been done even before I've fully woke up. It's alright I guess since that means I don't have to waste time doing them. I woke up wearing my karate outfit, it's what I always wear to start my morning exercises. All I had to do was tie up my shoes and I was good to go.

Though it was out of my norm, I wasn't exactly excited for today. Since my father thrown me out, I've been out of touch with him. So of course there was no way he'd be participating in Family day today. As for my mother, I haven't heard from her in years. I couldn't begin to fathom where she is.

I don't have anything to do but to go with the flow of today's events, but it doesn't mean I'll be getting lazy with my training. Exiting my room, I made my way downstairs and got some orange juice as I was about to head out.

Estefan: "Oh, good morning ma'am. How are you in this most lovely of days?"

I was about to exit the dorms when I ran into Estefan. He was wearing that Fabio style white dress shirt and long sleek black pants. His long blue hair was tied back and he wore that same desperately ill-ridden face. Every time I see him, I feel like he's about to keel over. The way he talks still bothers me though.

Mina: "Yeah, it's pretty nice. I was thinking of going out for a morning run today."

Estefan: "Ah yes, you always go out in the morning for your exercises."

Mina: "Uh, how do you about that?"

Is he stalking me or something? Creepy....

Estefan: "I'm always awake in this time. I sit over there every morning for my morning cup of tea. I'm used to watching everyone going about their morning, it's a bit of a hobby of mine."

Mina: "Why would you be watching people."

Estefan: "Haa~ Well, as a sickly child, I was confined to the safety of my home and never allowed to leave. I'd spend most of my mornings just watching the world from behind my window."

Yikes, that sounds horrible. Though I really wasn't in the mood to hear some depressing stuff this morning. I need to find a way out of this awkward situation...

Wolf-Eared Girl: "Excuse me?"

Walking up to us was a small blond haired girl with wolf ears. I think this is Diane's little sister, I mean who else around here could be related to her?

Mina: "Huh, oh you must be Diane's little sister."

Estefan: "Are you lost? Diane's room is on the second floor."

Wolf-Eared Girl: "Huh? How do you know my sister is Diane?"

Is she really asking that? Is really is as naïve as her older sister.

Mina: "Hehe~ it's pretty obvious. The wolf ears and tail."

She grew blush red as I pointed out the obvious comparison. She's so cute as she realizes how silly that question was. Fixing herself, she tried to hide the bit of embarrassment still showing on her face.

Wolf-Eared Girl: "Oh, yeah, I knew that, I was just testing you is all. Anyways, I'm not looking for her anyways."

Estefan: "Oh? Then who are you looking for?" [Cough-Cough]

Huh? I can't help but wonder who she's looking for as well. though she looked a bit freaked over Estefan's weak demeanor and over the top coughing. He'd definitely be a handsome man if he wasn't so weak.
