Lexi: "Haaa~~ This is like every dream I never knew I wanted to dream mashed together and placed right before my very eyes~!"

Lance: [What does that even mean? It's just a small house.]

[Lexi's POV]

Stupid Lance, this isn't just any one story house! This is the home of Matador and El Toro! The number 2 hero couple in Mexico! This is sacred holy ground we're going to be stepping in.

Since the school is currently under temporary reconstruction, all the students are on break for the next two days. In the meantime, Lance and I were invited to spend that time at our new parents home. During the trip here, Matador- Er, Mom, told us the whole process it took to adopt us. Seems like she was going to surprise us during Parent's day at school but it took a bit longer than she thought. El Toro, er, dad, (Wow, this is a little much to process hehe~) and mom were discussing the idea for some time but it was my discussion regarding Lance that made mom act. That's the number two hero for you, she must've thought something was going on with Lance and knew she had to do something before it was too late. I just wished she told me.

Back to the present. We now stood just steps away from the entrance of our new home. It wasn't much bigger than our home and it wasn't well tended to. Which makes sense as most heroes don't spend much time at home around here anyways. It was a small English style house in a lovely brown and coconut color. There was an archway at the door that made it seem really nice. A single car garage and a nice small front yard and a large backyard. I just couldn't shake the excitement of stepping into my idol's home from my every limb.

Matador: "Come on, it's probably not what you're expecting it to be."

El Toro: "We just recently purchase the house about two years ago, and we haven't had too much time to decorate very much."

Lexi: "I don't care! I just want to see it so badly!"

Guiding us in, I step in with extreme care and inhaled the air of the house. Ah~ it smells like Matador alright~. Looking around, it was sad to say, but there really wasn't too much to look at in here. There were barely any furniture and not much else either. The front door opened to the living room which was about as big as the dorm room. Mom then guided us to the back of the house into a hallway that lead to three other rooms. The first was Matador- Mom (Damn this is so hard.) and Dad's room. There was mostly clothing and a large mirror inside. A large king size bed with some heavy sheets neatly set up on top. Looking at the counter, there was a picture of a small girl and a small white cub in her hands. Noticing us peeking at it, Mom grabbed the picture and showed it to us.

Matador: "This was me when I was eight years old. My parents were animal rescue vets. During the war, most of the animals from the local zoos were used as living weapons. Though the mother was killed during the war, this cub was found and rescued from a villain hideout along with several other animals. I fell in love the first time I met her, named her Lilly. Using my Quirk, I trained her to be my animal partner. Sadly, Lilly passed away a few years ago."

Pressing the picture to her chest, Matador couldn't hold the tears from welling up in her eyes. Holding her as support, El Toro buried her face into his chest. Softly tapping his chest, Matador signaled him to release her. After cleaning herself a bit, she guided us to the next room. It was a small room about half the size as the one in the dorms. Still pretty spacious compared to our old home's room. It was empty and untouched.

El Toro: "This'll be your room. Sorry, we don't have any other open rooms."

Sharing a look Lance and I couldn't help but shrug it off.

Lexi: "Heh, We're used to it."

Stepping into the room, we placed our things almost just like how we had it back in our old home. Like I said, we're so used to being in the same room it's pretty natural at this point. Unfortunately, there was no bed in here so for the time being I'm going to have to sleep on the floor like Lance. At least this place isn't infested with nightmarish rats. Once we got our things together, we met up with our new parents in the living room we're Matador had to rest her feet. I keep forgetting that she's currently pregnant. With all the hype of being in this house, I just couldn't help but squeal in excitement over what we might do.
